3 rooms 1 nightPosted May 26, 2015
Pros: Very New Mexico and different.
Cons: maybe a thorough cleaning of hallway carpets
Location: Nice trails for walking, golf, horseback riding, lounging by multiple pools
I booked three rooms for a one night post graduation evening at the Tamaya. We live in Albuquerque so this is a close, but far enough away, resort. We had a wonderful evening of activities including hitting golf balls at the nearby Twin Warriors golf club, drinks at the hotel bar patio, watching the gorgeous sun set by the fire pit and a wonderful casual dinner at the Santa Ana Cafe. The staff was wonderful and the experience fabulous!

Beautiful resort with great viewsPosted May 11, 2015
Pros: Great location but feels that you are away from the city.
Cons: Pricey resort with an extra resort fee! I don't like the resort fee! You have to pay it so it should be included in room price!
Location: Not far from Abq . We took a nice drive to Jemez and visited a winery. Beautiful scenery. The Jemez Falls were closed when we got there!
Enjoyed a two day visit with my daughter that lives in Abq. It was nice to get away but not have to travel far. It is a lovely hotel with beautiful views. The hotel is well taken care of and clean. Nice pools and spa! Has a really nice massage and enjoyed the Jacuzzi also!

Great place to restPosted May 10, 2015
Restaurants are good. Could use a little more of a steak and potatoes type menu.

If you like to jog, avoid this hotel at all costsPosted Apr 5, 2015
It should have been a great time as the resort is overall fabulous. However, my stay was scarred by the incredible rudeness of some of the staff members. I'm a jogger and I go for long runs. I headed out for a 14 miler and needed to go out to route 550. On the way back, while coming back into the resort on the two lane service road, a black Mercedes SUV pulls up next to me driven by a male employee. He rolls down his window and points behind him, and says to me "turn around immediately and head back!" I’m on mile 14 of a 14 mile run, very tired. Couldn’t believe someone could be so rude, so frankly I just ignore him and keep running. He drives up next to me again and yells at me “you can’t run here, turn around and go back to where you came from!” I said, “I’m a paying guest of the hotel and I’m going back to my room.” Meanwhile the jerkbag just floors it and goes to the hotel. About 3 minutes later up comes the security truck. At this point I’m like 400 meters away from the hotel parking lot. Security stops me and tells me I can’t run here. I ask why. I’m told, because we have crazy employees who drive too fast and often text and drive. Couldn’t believe it. So how about A) teach you employees how to politely talk to their guests if they have a problem with something (i.e. owner of the newer model black Mercedes SUV); B) instead of yelling at your guests for *jogging* along the road (which btw, isn’t unsafe), tell your rude employees to slow down and not text and drive.

Cons: Call directly, better deals from the hotel than from Expedia.
Location: lots of sites, ask the concierge
Beautiful location and grounds. many things are closed during winter so if you go before April call ahead. Either way, get the Tamaya times (Wednesday paper) before you go to see what is going on the week you are there.

A+ Quiet ResortPosted Feb 2, 2015
I live in Albuquerque and wanted a relaxing spa weekend. Went two days & had a facial & manicure--both great. They have a wonderful outdoor (private) whirlpool with a jetted 5 foot well, A+ snacks, Indian flute music...professional, caring staff. Quiet location set near bosque forest with walking trails. I have been horseback riding there in the summer--awesome. You can even go on a hot air balloon ride...
