Easy & quick check-in. Secure elevator requires (room) key card to go up. Hallways are wide, open & well lit; new carpet was being laid on the floor tht my room was on (might have been a patch) during my first day - a small annoyance but the hotel is clean and fresh.
The room layout is efficient and partitions the bedroom, bathroom and living/TV area very nicely. Natural light on two walls into the bedroom, one each into the living/TV area and the internal hall area.
Very comfortable and efficient, except not a particularly good desk in the room to work at and watch TV. This does encourage one to go down to the small business center which I did not check out OR to the rooftop cafe which is the real jewel in this crown; dining insde is an option, BUT unless there is inclement weather that would be foolish! Outside there is an interesting variety of different types of seating to choose from, upright hard chairs, soft chairs, loungers, benches, and more; all with matching tables. Nice views and a nice breeze (at least the days I was there) coupled with well executed "bar food" and drinks, quiet and a polite wait staff.

I love this place. Our rooms were clean, large and comfortable. The lady at the front desk was so friendly and helpful to us. She recommended places to eat and see. She was so easy to talk to. I love this lady. Restaurants are close. Balloon Fiesta is only 10-15 minutes away. Highly recommended.

We stayed in a room with one queen bed. The room was small, but it still had a small table with chairs and a desk and chair, as well as a very small fridge and a bathroom, and it did not feel crowded. Although it is a very old motel, and you feel you've stepped back in time to a simpler traveling time, the motel does not "feel" old. The furnishings have been updated and everything is very, very, very clean. What I loved most was having an assigned parking place two steps from the room door. The owners were wonderfully sweet and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. It is not a luxury hotel, but I have never received a better value for the price in any of my other travels. I will definitely be staying here again.

I was pleasantly surprised at the elegant atmosphere. At the same time this boutique hotel had charm throughout. Though small, the room had a very pleasant feeling, with all the right amenities (especially after I made a request for a coffee service in the room for the morning). The lobby was surrounded with intimate seating areas and there was even an especially warm, quiet and welcoming library right off the lobby. I love the idea of live music, but unfortunately the night I stayed there, the lobby music was amplified too much for my taste, though the music was probably excellent. It could be heard in the restaurant. Fortunately we happened to be sitting away from the door. Interestingly enough the library must be sound-proof so the decibel level was okay there. All in all, an excellent experience EXCEPT for one small item: I was surprised by the valet surcharge (of $16) and would have to adjust the overall price to include this charge in my determination of a place to stay in Albuquerque the next time. Not knowing about the surcharge was probably my fault. In fact there was a clear sign outside as well, and I'm sure that the website includes it in an obvious place.

I have been to this hotel regularly and I ALWAYS have great service. The breakfast in this hotel is set up in an all you can eat buffet style, with an omlette station and fresh wonderful food. The rooms were very clean and the sheets smelled fresh. Much better than most hotels I have been to in the $0-100 range, especially with its central abbuquerque location.
