Beautiful hotel, free shuttle, good breakfast. I enjoyed the stay, wish I had more time to spend in the rocking chair by the fountain.

"Excellent value"
My wife and I read the excellent reviews from travelers who stayed at the Sandia Peak Hotel and decided to give it a try. The glowing reviews were accurate. This is one fine hotel. The rooms are clean and spotless. We have paid far more for similar hotels in our travels. The proprietor, Kay, is a delightful lady from India. She expressed genuine delight that are lost luggage eventually came to the airport. She is 180 degrees opposite from those bland hotel staffers at the front counter that you have encountered in your travels. The breakfast fare was surprisingly generous - a world apart from the meagre offerings we have seen in higher priced hotels. So we departed with our luggage and told Kay we would be back. Little did we know that we would be returning to Albuquerque due to a itinerary change. So guess where we stayed? Kay remembered us and welcomed us back with open arms like we were family.

"Wonderful!"
I didn't get in 'til quite late and left soon after breakfast the next day, so I didn't get to enjoy all that was on offer; but...the place was a wonderful respite from my cross-country trek. The room was very-well appointed, and I was able to enjoy the rest of my night winding down before going to sleep. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful; the ambiance peaceful and restful. I would definitely stay here again.

"Wonderful experience"
We stayed in a room with one queen bed. The room was small, but it still had a small table with chairs and a desk and chair, as well as a very small fridge and a bathroom, and it did not feel crowded. Although it is a very old motel, and you feel you've stepped back in time to a simpler traveling time, the motel does not "feel" old. The furnishings have been updated and everything is very, very, very clean. What I loved most was having an assigned parking place two steps from the room door. The owners were wonderfully sweet and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. It is not a luxury hotel, but I have never received a better value for the price in any of my other travels. I will definitely be staying here again.

"Classic Hotel"
While our room was small, we saw that some of the rooms had been remodeled to be commodious suites. The lobby was beautiful, with lovely cabana areas for smaller gatherings. The staff was wonderful and helped in many different ways. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent.

"Nice hotel in Old Town"
We were driving across country and found this hotel for our stop in Albuquerque, right in Old Town. It is a lovely hotel, very convenient to I-40. The room was quite comfortable. The patio dining was very relaxing. And the outdoor full length pool is terrific. Service was great. Food (dinner and breakfast) was SW-style, which you would expect, and quite good. I would definitely recommend this hotel as not only very comfortable and well situated but also a good value.

We had a wonderful stay! The rooms was nice, clean, and quiet. The drinks at the bar we're great! I would advise against the restaurant though...the "Indian taco" was good but the rest was mediocre.

"Good hotel @ fair price close to convention Center"
I was very happy with the hotel. Staff were courteous. The room was spacious and they provided some (free) toiletries in case your forgot them. My room had fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron, iron board and TV (DirecTV). The best part was the breakfast. In this hotel they did NOT scrimp on anything. They had bagels, waffle iron, bread, cereals, fruit yogurt, muffins, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon and the whole yard. Coffee and juice was available 24 hours. There were cookies at the font desk. I stayed there for a week and enjoyed it. I will recommend to anyone. The parking was inside fenced area and so safe.
