The pool was extremely dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks and was completely unusable and there was no mention of that at all during check-in. Rooms were stuffy and marginally clean. Bathtub did not drain at first and it took quite a while to get it looked at. The toilets flushed very slow and you didn't know for a few if they were even going to flush.

Room smelled like cigarettes despite being a non-smoking room, took the kids to the pool which was dirty, went back to the room so they could play in the tub instead. Drain was completely clogged. I pulled a large quantity of hair and gunk out of the drain. Gross.

If I had known the property was under construction I wouldn’t have stayed there. Last night when I checked in the front desk person wasn’t there. I waiting for almost 15 minutes for them to show up. Then he didn’t apologize, he barely spoke English and was super slow. With the property under construction shouldn’t discounts be offered? I would think so since it was not a fully functioning facility

This is has been a VERY reliable spot for a stay if you're catching an early flight out of ABQ. Right now (March 2024), the property is undergoing major renovation. Stay there, by all means, but make sure you get a room as far away from the Yale/Gibson intersection. Rooms on that side are VERY, VERY NOISY.

We paid for the room online through expedia and there was no one at the front desk for over 45minutes when we arrived. Calls were not picked up. We finally had to give up and head across the street to another hotel as we had an early flight and needed to get to bed. Will not book this hotel again.

In spite of our reservation being non-refundable by the time we arrived, we did not even get out of the car to check in. What is not shown in the photos is that many (if not all) of the rooms have doors that open to the outside, like you see in roadside motels. I personally do not feel safe staying in that kind of room. It is also located on a very busy/loud intersection- I can only imagine the noise carries into the rooms themselves. Fortunately there are plenty of other properties nearby and we were able to get a nice room elsewhere. I’m very surprised La Quinta puts their name on this property. May have to take them off my list of places we’ll stay.

Property is under construction. Front desk area is a nightmare. Late night kid was rude and mumbled. He got visibly angry when i asked him to repeat himself. I couldn't hear him over the loud hum of the refrigerator in the middle of the lobby.

The reception area is being remodeled and you still check in there it is dusty and the grab and go breakfast isn't great at all. They should just close until the remodeling is over with really.

This place reminded me of war-torn Syria, with open wiring hanging, plywood walls/flooring/desk, outdoor walkways, dirty, stained carpets/flooring/tubs, no amenities...and the front desk workers (apart from struggling to speak English) had such bad body odor that I had to stand back from the counter 6 feet or else I might vomit. I lost the 2nd night's payment and left to go somewhere else. To say "avoid" this place is an understatement. Run AWAY! Embarrassing the LaQuinta would put their name on this dump.

Unless you’re in need for an extreme budget motel, look elsewhere. Old dirty furniture, filthy carpets, door barely opened because the alignment was off so we had to throw our bodies at it to open or close it. They’re remodeling the lobby but they should have started with the rooms first. I didn’t see bugs but there were bed bug and flea vibes for sure
