Good, relaxing weekend getaway.Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: The pool and hot tub.
Cons: It showed a little wear and tear, but for the rate I got, It was good.
Location: Location was great. Right near the Big I, so I could get on I-25 or I-40 quickly.
We had a good time and hotel was good. Had good amenities. Kids enjoyed the pool and I liked the spa. Kids complained the wifi was slow. Rooms were good. Comfortable beds, fridge and microwave very convenient. Was a little noisy, maybe it was just the guests.

Amazing Breakfast and Very Comfortable SleepPosted Feb 26, 2014
We had Stayed at the Elegante a few years back and remembered how great the Breakfast buffet was. We were in Albuquerque for the State Wrestling Tournament at the Santa Ana Star Center, it was a good 20-25 minute drive across town but worth it! The room was a bit old but maintained, the beds were super comfy and the Staff was great! Breakfast was so busy, we had to clean our own table but the buffet is awesome! Breakfast food for any appetite.

Pros: The fabulous free breakfast, very good, not just donuts, but a full buffet
Cons: The description of smoking or non-smoking!!
Location: It was 3 miles from my destination, great location.
would have like to know if they had smoking rooms, or non-smoking rooms. That point was not on the description. In fact, nothing was mentioned until you got your receipt. Don't like secrets!!

Nice placePosted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: The staff was friendly and the swimming pool was nice.
Location: Location was easy to find. Not sure what there was to do nearby. Coronado Mall was just a few minutes away.
Hotel staff was very friendly. The facility and parking lot were nice. Swimming pool and hot tub were clean. There was still a burrito in the fridge when we arrived, which obviously was not our's. The halls also got kind of noisy pretty late at night, probably bar goers returning their rooms. Overall though, we would stay again.

Convenient locationPosted Feb 15, 2014
Pros: Nice size and comfortable room.
Cons: The cycling of the heater fan all night was loud and did keep me awake.
Was looking for a decent hotel near the medical facilities that I needed to visit. The included hot breakfast was very welcome.

Many problems with this hotelPosted Feb 10, 2014
Pros: Beds were warm and comfortable.
Cons: Staff could be far more competent and polite. Heaters could actually work. Doors actually open. Breakfast not need a stupid coupon.
Location: Location was convenient to most things.
Checking in was a breeze, and the hotel lobby looked great. Unfortunately, that was the first and last good impression I had. The door to our room would not open; totally stuck to the wall. Twice during our stay, we had to call upon the help of men passing by to ram the door open. The room was frigid when we went in, and the heater wouldn't work. We had maintenance sent up. He fixed the heater, which hadn't been turned on since Dec. so it smelled when turned on. We complained about the door sticking and he said it was due to it being freshly painted. The heater quit again at 10 pm that night. We were tired and in our pajamas, and just did not want to bother with getting maintenance in again, assuming anyone was around at 10 pm. The shower worked like this: Turn on hot water. Turn cold water exactly 1/8" for a comfortable temp; any variation of that resulted in ice cold water or "boil your skin off" hot. There was ONE cup for coffee. Four coffee pods and several tea packets, but just one up. In a room with two beds. When we went down to breakfast, we saw a sign stating we needed breakfast coupons. When I checked in, breakfast coupons were neither given to me nor mentioned. So I go up to the front desk and the tell the worker that we didn't get coupons. She was very rude, stating that I signed for them and "next time, you won't get another pair." Well I didn't get the first pair!!! She was very unapologetic when I told her about the heater not working as well.

Clean, older hotel for short stayPosted Feb 6, 2014
Pros: Great front desk staff, very nice and helpful. Bar is really beautiful...bar food was very, very good.
The MCM Elegante is a clean, older hotel good for a short stay. Front desk staff was pleasant and helpful, the bar is beautiful and rooms were clean yet old. If I were staying longer, would have paid an extra $15-20/night for a more updated and upscale hotel. Room smelled kind of like a nursing home and less fresh and inviting. Otherwise the room was very clean.
