Clean motel/hotel too close to truck stopPosted Nov 21, 2013
Staff were excellent and facility was clean. This hotel is more like a motel. Wyndham appears to have forgotten this facility. It's desperate for a remodel. Upon driving up the first thing you see is an adult video store, massage parlor and truck stop. I have to say other guests were families like us. Our stay was quiet. It was just the surroundings and dated facility.

The Motel From HellPosted Oct 29, 2013
Cons: Can't improve. Needs to be shut down permanently, and just put a corral there for cattle and horses for that is how you treat your customers.
Location: To go buy gas at the Flying J and leave the area asap.
First of all my name is Nancy not Nany! I wrote a review and then found it was too lengthy so I have to start over. There is no way to tell of my experience wholly without explaining everything. Suffice it to say I am furious over the way that my daughter was treated at your motel. I know people's dogs who are treated better. This motel is lower than pond scum. The general manager is unprofessional, some slleez bag off the street who has no ability to serve the public in any capacity, nor knows anything about resolving a dispute and has no clue of how good customer service should be. Her answer was to hang up on me. Why a person of this caliber is given a job, any job, is absolutely astounding. The breakfast turned out to be a big flop with people waiting for food, hot food to be brought in and then being told they weren't going to serve any because there was only one hr. left. My family member got up early to go eat and wasted an hr. waiting for food. and ended up with nothing except a bagel. Others were there and had that same experience, I will tell everyone I know not to go to this motel. I will report this to the BBB. It was a very pathetic experience and the facility needs to close for they advertise things they do not deliver. May I never pass your way again! I would never stay at nor recommend any Microtel, ever.!

Rooms Need better ErgonomicsPosted Sep 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
After the first night we decided not to spend the second night although we had paid for it. We left the next day at noon. The room had a TV on top of the clothes closet, to watch caused neck strain. The temperature control made it difficult to maintain a constant temperature, you are hot or cold. Although we thought I was upgrading to a suite so that we could have a meal in the room there were no utensils, pots, pans and we had to go get paper plates. After one night we looked at each other and decided they can keep the money we're leaving right now. Never, Never, Never will I stay at a Microtel again.

Scary locationPosted Aug 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
Single woman traveling alone. Not a good location. Right next to truck stop. Many shady characters & homeless. I guess everyone else knew because the hotel was empty. Nice hotel. Not a good neighborhood.

Room poorly maintainedPosted Aug 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
I had a small suite (don't get the queen "bedroom" as you can barely turn around in it), and the dining chair was falling apart, the hideabed cushions were falling down into the mattress, there were cigarette burns in the upholstery, and there were no instructions for the TV or phone. No one knew of restaurants nearby, though the staff were friendly. There was no regular coffee with the coffeemaker, just decaf. The bed was comfortable, though, and the AC worked well.

Our non-smoking room stank of tobacco. The TV wasn't hi-def and it had a tiny screen. There's threadbare carpet all over the common areas. There's better places for less money in Santa Fe.
