It started out great...

Posted Sep 15, 2014
We got to the hotel, in Albuquerque, in a nicer part of town, there were signs saying security cameras were in place, so we felt safe. The room was not sparkly clean, but decent, shower didn't have a real waterproof liner, so taking a shower flooded the floor. We went out clubbing, got back to the hotel at 3 am, between the hours of 3 and 7 our brand new trucks lock was punched and someone broke into it, stealing my purse, my husband's registrations for some trailers, and pretty much just tore everything up. We were the second truck to have that happen that night. The hotel didn't offer any comps, and admitted that although they have signs saying there is surveillance in place, there is none outside, only inside the hotel, so they can watch the employees and guests. I am totally outraged over it, they should have better security in a higher end place like it is. Also, it was misleading with the video camera signs so we should have been comped something for our trouble and loss.

Good location, fun decor

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the nativo lodge for 3 nights. The hotel is clean, everything worked in the room and bath. Hotel restaurant has great service. A small bar is available for unwinding. The decor is pueblo art deco, something out of the 1920's. Very nice. Big wooden beams and aged/washed stucco walls with a 20ft tall shaman in the lobby.

Perfect place for us

We have stayed at this hotel every time we are in the area. It is in a great location for us, convenient to the rest of town and Santa Fe. Rooms are always comfortable and clean, and the staff is friendly.

Nice lobby..

The hotel has a nice facelift on the outside, but the actual rooms need improvement. Our first room had a broken toilet and a messed up ac unit - had to switch rooms. Second room ac unit also had issues - must have gotten them on sale at the same time....

We had a wonderful stay! The rooms was nice, clean, and quiet. The drinks at the bar we're great! I would advise against the restaurant though...the "Indian taco" was good but the rest was mediocre.

Average hotel in this price range.

Nothing special about the experience, but all the necessary bases are covered. The only (minor) negatives: Slow Wi-Fi (I was travelling on business so this was important) and terrible television picture on all channels (I typically only watch sports so no great loss on a Wednesday night).

unique hotel / not good maintenance

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: The art work & the staff.
Cons: maintenance on the pot holes & the pool
Location: cliffs amusement park & located next to the freeway.
The hotel & room were not to bad, but the parking lot had a lot of big pot holes & the swimming pool was freezing and had toilet paper in it along with allege on the stairs and wall.

Disappointing

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Nothing on this trip. I was embarassed for my family.
Cons: Everything
Location: We are in the area regularly at the ABQ dragway, the shops in the area, plus visiting our favorite eating establishments in the area.
I was extremely disappointed with our stay 1 Aug -3 Aug 2014. We stay at the Nativo on a regular basis due to the central location and the security on premises. My husband races his drag car at Abq Dragway regularly and we need the security for his car. On this visit, the rooms and the facility were filthy. Carpets in the hallway were nasty..On this trip we had friends and family which also rented rooms at Nativo with us and I was embarrassed on how we were treated. The family got together at the bar on the first night and my 65 year old mother in law asked the bartender for some coffee and she refused to make a pot for her and it wasn't like we were not going to pay our bill. The front desk clerk acted as though it was an inconvience to her for us to be there and our reservations were made weeks in advance. The also refused to replenish our coffee, condiments, and towels in our room. We will try to located a hotel that will treat us and supply us with the respect and the security we need.

Pros: Close to restaurants and stores.
Cons: This hotel needs more Native American decor, perhaps a giftshop,
Location: My family went to Pueblo Cultural center and Old Town.
My family liked the Native American decor, but the room lacked a fridge and microwave.
