“will never try anything that look like it”
The heater in the room could not keep the room warm, the quilt is so thin that the room was freezing cold. Again my breathing became difficult because there was no humidifier to improve moisture content. Overall my experience was nasty.
“Not Happy!!”
Not as clean as it should have been. The shower had a danger situation with 2 shower heads but the low one should be removed since it did not woirk & was in a location that that wad too low & you could so easily hit your back.
“A Good Place for Balloon Enthusiasts”
The hotel was easy to find and sits right near two recommended [and we enjoyed them!] ABQ restaurants, Sadie's and the Owl Cafe. It caters to balloonists with an extra early breakfast for those like us trying to get to the Fiesta before the crack of dawn, and it's handy to both I25 and I40 for exploring beyond the Fiesta if you wish. Rooms are spacious, comfy, clean; pool/courtyard are pleasant and surprisingly peaceful considering the hotel's in a mall and on a busy street. Staff is helpful and friendly. Decor is bland but who cares? It's a fine place to use as a base for exploring the area.
“Would stay again”
Our experience was fine. The room was nice, they had a good spread for a continental breakfast and it was in a covenient location.
“Relaxed atmosphere”
Thank you Sandy for being the best front desk clerk anyone who is tired can hope for. We brought our motorcycles with us on a trailer and were expecting to deal with parking them safely. Not even a problem, we could see them easily from our window and we were never bothered by staff to park somewhere else. Clean pool and a hot whirlpool. We had a great stay and location was accessible to everything.
“cheap price but enough stay”
I stayed with my kids in this hotel. This hotel was enough for us. Kids love this hotel pool, and breakfast. They said we gonna stay again. Zoo and shoppong mall was not far and safety. If you don't care about fancy hotel, this hotel is enough for you.
“Not impressed”
This hotel is stuck in the 60's. The room was large enough but the carpet was stained and worn, the TV was mono, there was no trash can in the bathroom and no discernible bath mat. The closet was hidden behind a huge mirror on the wall; it took us a while to even realize it was a closet. I would probably choose a different hotel if I had to stay in Albuquerque again.
“Great location”
The Sandia was within walking distance of my daughter's house and is a great bargain. It is off I 40 and close to I 25. The Owl Cafe and Sadie's are close by for food along with a number of other restaurants down Eubanks. There is also a Target and Best Buy within walking distance. My daughter and her friend loved the pool. The breakfast was limited but sufficient and equal to most mid-level motel breakfasts. The rooms were nicely sized and cleaned adequately every day. I'd definitely stay here again.
“OK motel or Expedia price”
Aging motel that is nice if you can get it at a discount rate. They try to make the continental breakfast good and do an adequate job of that so no need to go out to a restaurant. Make sure you get a room that is not connected by a door to an adjoining room as the sound of your neighbor will pass right through the door. One night, a family (I happen to like families) with good parents were next door and thankfully put the children to bed at 9PM so it became quiet. The other nights, a road crew came in at 11 PM off of their shift and partied until the wee hours. Thankfully, I was really tired and only woke up a couple of times but went right back to sleep. So, make sure to get a room that does not have the capability to adjoin other rooms.
“Not Impressed”
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was very run down and not clean at all. My advice - avoid at all costs!
