“Satisfactory”

Older, no frills. Clean. Bed very comfortable but blankets threadbard. Staff courteous and helpful. Good TV and channel selection. Decent place to stay for low price.

“Request courtyard room”

I requested both upon reservation and check-in a room away from Interstate 40. When the clerk gave instructions to room, I commented that wasn't it upon the interstate side, to which he replied there was another motel property in-between. It mattered little, signicant amount of road noise, maybe funnled through building breaks. Additionally, same adjoining motel had a lounge with live music 1 night, recorded the next, for which a non-entrance door for air had been left open during operation into parking lot, which created a significant amount of bass. Room included an armoire with closing doors, which housed TV, mini-fridge and microwave. Request a courtyard room, mature cedars and trees surround, awake to Mockingbirds and Wrens. First floor rooms have small patios with chairs.

“Toilet seats don't stay up!”

We were looking for low-cost, and overall, we got what we expected. Decent service and a decent breakfast. The place is older and decor and furnishings were a bit shabby, but the room was clean and housekeeping well attended to. One item that should be addressed was that the toilet is situated under a slim counter jut-out so that the toilet seat and lid cannot remain upright. This was comical at first, but was quite annoying by the end of our trip. And we had an adjoining room with the same problem, so it was not just our bathroom. Very convenient to I-40 and we stayed during the balloon fiesta and had a nice view of the balloons from our balcony.

“Would stay again”

Our experience was fine. The room was nice, they had a good spread for a continental breakfast and it was in a covenient location.

“Not impressed”

This hotel is stuck in the 60's. The room was large enough but the carpet was stained and worn, the TV was mono, there was no trash can in the bathroom and no discernible bath mat. The closet was hidden behind a huge mirror on the wall; it took us a while to even realize it was a closet. I would probably choose a different hotel if I had to stay in Albuquerque again.

“Loud Music Next Door - Extremly Loud”

THe rooms on the convention side of the building are bigger and nice so they place people on that side of the building. There is a Hotel next door that has a bar and at midngiht they open the back door and blast you out of your sleep. Very Loud. Ask to stay on the other side of the building the rooms are not as nice but at least you can sleep.

“Two very different nights in the same hotel”

I arrived at the Sandia Courtyard very late on a Friday night. I booked a non-smoking room and the sign in the lobby boasted a 100% non-smoking facility. When I arrived in my room I was completely disappointed and disgusted by the putrid, stale smoke smell, general uncleanliness and noise level of the room. I called the front desk and the clerk was very curtious and offered to move me to another room. Because it was very late and I was a woman traveling alone coupled with the three men lingering out in the hall just down from my room, I declined the offer and suffered through the night. I complained the next morning and another very curtious clerk offered me a new room and said he'd call me as soon as one was clean and ready for me....which he did! On my second night I was "upgraded" to a premium room and couldn't have been happier. It was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The clerk that checked me in that evening was very curtious (3 for 3 on that front). So...it is difficult for me to give an accurate review of the hotel because I could have been staying at two very different locations. I feel I need to review it though because the level of service I received from the staff is worth complimenting and for the price my second night was especially nice.

“Pricey for what you get”

Hotel was "ok", but there were a few things that my husband felt compelled to make a list of to give to the front desk. Power to the clock would not stay on, so we could not rely on the alarm or know what time it was--constantly blinking Remote control to TV was archaic! Had no numeric keypad so you had to scroll through every flippin channel to get to what you wanted. No fitted sheets! The bottom sheet was just a straight sheet, so it wouldn't stay on very well, and that can be uncomfortable when it would bunch up under you. Sink looked like someone stood on it and broke it away from the wall, so it sloped really bad and nothing would stay on it without rolling off. Parking was an issue, but mostly because they had half the lot blocked off for a car show. Laundry room was nice, they had free computer access in the Lobby (only one computer though), free cookies and news papers, restaurants within walking distance. We were there for the balloon feista, and only hotels available via expedia were 2 1/2 star and below. Don't know if we were just late getting reservations or what, but loved the fiesta!

“Decent Stay”

I was in Albq for just the one night and needed a decent place to stay. The room we stayed in was nicely kept, the water pressure was good, the beds were fairly comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The only complaint I have was that the tv channels were limited. I think the money I paid was worth it.

“NM Reunion”

On the second day of our three night stay, we came back to an uncleaned room. The front desk clerk had us move to the room next door. The electronic key failed every time we came back from our business. The front desk clerk had to make new keys each time (3X). But breakfast was great.
