“Smoky atmosphere”

The hotel itself was superb. That being said, if you are a non-smoker as my husband and I are, but you enjoy gambling, this is not the place. Ventilation was terrible - non existent as far as we could tell. Even the non-smoking slot room was smoky. Some of the table gambling rules are quite different than other places we have been. If I were going strictly to gamble this would not be the establishment I would choose, despite the beautiful hotel. Front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful but can't say the same for the restaurants. Not overly friendly in the 2 restaurants that we ate in. One a "fine dining" the other a buffet.

We had a relaxing time - just what we needed. We spent just night traveling through but definitely would have enjoyed a longer stay.

We Have stayed before and always are very sat6isfied from checkin to checkout . We look forward to our next trip to the area front desk person was very helpful with checkinsince we reserved late but found room that was even better .

The only "problem" was with the casino. The officiousness of the so called guards was extremely annoying. Okay, so there is no booze in the casino, but try walking in with a plastic bag from THEIR own gift shop and one is accosted and accused of having alcohol. Then, if you try to go into one of the bars, even just to check a game score you are CARDED when you are in your 60's. This is ridiculous. A beautiful hotel spoiled by little men and their self established authority.
