You get what you pay for

Posted Jan 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
We reserved a stay at this hotel for New Years Eve as we would be passing thru Albq and just needed a place to lay our heads that night. We booked for 3 adults and 3 kids and it brought up a room with a double bed and sofa bed. We got there at about 9 p.m. and the room only had 2 double beds and no sofa. No way that all of us could fit into this tiny room. Additionally the room had marker on the walls so not very charming. The hotel attendant was a young lady with her baby. I'm ok with people having their kids with them when they work but the baby was quiet and she wouldn't put her down so she had to type and do everything with one hand/arm. Needless to say not very efficient. On top of everything she found our hotels.com reservation but said that our credit card was declined on the reservation. Which was not the case since the credit card was hotels.com's credit card. So, we ended up having to pay directly for the night again even though I had already been chrgd by hotels.com a month earlier. And because the room couldn't accomodate us we were going to have to get another room which was not adjoining. Needless to say we were not happy with our visit and actually ended up cancelling the reservation and went to another hotel.

I was a little disappointed because the pool was closed down for maintenance issues and my son and I were looking forward to swimming. The rooms were adequate and the hotel was close to family. Over all it was a good experience.

worst motel I've stayed at.

Posted Oct 14, 2012 on Hotels.com
It was very bad. The T.V. didn't work right, the pool was cold, and the a.c. and heater only worked part time. There was coffee, but no coffee pot. The beds were uncomfortable and we had to get our key rescanned at the front desk every evening to get into the room. I would never stay there again and do not recommend it to anyone.

Otger than the shower curtain rod being broken and mirror was dirty on upper left hand corner it was a good place to stay. Food and stores real close by and it was an easy on easy off the interstate.

Run down

Posted Oct 11, 2012
Pros: kinda of convient to the jobsite
Cons: ran down
Location: somewhat close to our jobsite
Hotel is ran down, door was unsafe and needed to be closed with extra hard push with hip. Stairs at one time was concrete, some areas are still condrete, but then replaced with wodd which is starting to deteriate.

worth the money

I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay with an indoor pool. I have stayed here twice now with no problems. Not the greatest place to stay, but worth the money.

Pros: price
Cons: room not ready
requested a refrigerator 7 months in advance. did not have one. no phone in room. everytime, which was quite often, i needed something, i had to walk to office. no microwave in room. pillows were flat. no tv remote in room. tv kept going out. no coffee for coffee maker in room. was able to get some from office.seems this room was not inspected before hand. if not for friend of owner who fixed tv everytime it went out and got us a microwave, this would have have dreadful.

Awful experience.

Posted Sep 26, 2012
Pros: leaving
Cons: finding stains on the sheets
Location: bad part of town
My experience with Travel Lodge was awful. My room wasn't clean. I pulled back the covers to put my sleeping son down and found that there was a missing pillow case. As I unpacked my things the light above the sink flickered like a strobe light. There was no stopper in the drain of the sink. There was a cricket next to the ice bucket. The shower had rust stains. The toilet was filthy. When I pulled back the covers to my bed, I found gross stains. I called the front desk and asked for another room. The new room offered was dirty as well. The shower had peeling paint on the tub. The mirror was smudged and the air conditioner was extremely loud. When I pulled back the covers to check the sheets, a french fry flew out from the blanket. We immediately packed up and left.

worst hotel i have ever stayed at

Posted Sep 26, 2012 on Hotels.com
I will never, ever, stay at a Travel Lodge hotel again for as long as I am alive on this planet. Employees were careless, unprofessional, rude, and incompitent. Shower was broken. Keys to room malfunctioned. No Wi_Fi internet as promised online. Ants were in our room. Cleaning services were irresponsible for tending to guests needs. no washer or dryer for guests to use. pool was nasty. such a poor display of professionalism in all aspects.
