Centrally located, reasonable hotelPosted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: The location
Cons: The bathroom was a little dated.
Location: Shops and restaurants are close by.
The only negative I had was the dining staff were so slow that we went to a nearby local restaurant. It was also unclear if there was a children's menu.

Location goodPosted May 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
I stay here on business quite regularly, but the last 12 months all the little things they used to do, don't happen anymore. E.g there is no bottled water in the fridge except sparkling water. When I am on the road all day I want water. If I am there on a weekend, the fridge is not replenished at all. They have continually got my booking incorrect. Depending on how busy they are as too how much I pay for the exact same room. Last time was a difference of an extra $20 a night because they had a bus load of people in. I am seriously considering staying somewhere else. For the money I think I can do better.

Bestrides the West end of Albury like a colossus.Posted May 11, 2014
Pros: It's there, it's relatively cheap, the room, while not being astoundingly commodious, functioned well.
Cons: Admitting that the hotel is really a large, grey concrete block; the Expedia photos don't do it justice! Rydges should look at their refurb prog.
Location: This is purely a transit stop between MEL and SYD or between country NSW and the mountains. Shopping isn't bad, but don't let Albury slow your travels
I was in late, but received a pleasant welcome from desk staff. The room was classic low-end business, Rydges-style, which is to say that the muted tones of the decor and the dog-eared nature of some of the furnishings didn't exactly lift the spirits. But...everything in the room worked, my car (parked in the large, open lot to the rear of the hotel) was unmolested overnight and I happily slept past the 10am check-out time, housekeeping performing the task of my malfunctioning alarm clock.

Time for a full refurbishmentPosted May 9, 2014
I've been coming to this hotel for over 15 years and although some minor changes have been made in the foyer it's far from enough. The hotel is old, tired and ready for a total refurbishment. It's needs an exterior facelift, rooms gutted and even though they have attempted to renovate the foyer it's a mess now. Will not be staying again unfortunately until this happens.

Highly Convenient & Good ValuePosted May 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
Rates good, staff friendly, bed quality disappointing on one side when I discovered left hand side of queen bed collapses more than a foot on the edge, I did mention this but nothing was done or offered. Excellent location, back entrance floor coverings grubby and in need of repair or replacement. Also the green rebate offer never eventuated after the reception computers were down on checkout and hence not deducted from our final account. Thankyou.

Comfy Bed and great breakfastsPosted Apr 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
We enjoyed our stay at Rydges Albury, the place was comfortable and quiet. We had breakfast included with our stay and it was a fantastic spread each morning.

A little bit disappointingPosted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable beds
Cons: Update rooms
Person on reception was efficient but not very helpful. When asked where we could eat dinner she responded 'I wouldn't know'. Interesting given there is a resturant in the hotel and a large cluc opposite (as we discovered). The room was very dated but was clean. To be honest, I think we would have been better off saving $50 and staying in a motel.
