A night in Hell

Pros: the breakfast in the morning. It was quiet. Very few people use this motel and now we know why.
Cons: comfortable mattresses. Some kind of heat.
Location: We went to a museum and that was enjoyable. Ate dinner at a restaurant close by and the meal was wonderful
The room was very cold. The fan on the heater sounded like a jet plane. The bed was hard much like sleeping on a cement slab. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed that very much. The hotel staff were nice and helpful although I only saw them at check in time.

Pros: Great stay just that the pool was down!
Cons: Discount if pools is not working!
Very disappointed about the pool was down all weekend!!!

Comfortable stay?

To be fair, I must disclose all details. My son's 3rd grade pod had been having lice problems before Christmas break. In the days ahead of traveling to Alexandria he was given a clean bill of health by his school and his hair dresser. After laying on the hotel bed to play his video game, and swimming in the pool, I found 2 lice on his scalp. The hotel staff disclosed that there was an "unknown" bug problem in the hotel this fall, when I brought it to their attention. You make your own conclusion. The hotel is dated, but that doesn't bother me. It appeared clean on the surface and was quiet. The pool was cold so our visit to the pool was cut short. There were not any towels available in the pool area either. There was cold water in the hot water dispenser for my tea in the breakfast area the next morning. The rest of the breakfast was great. The hotel was close to shopping and restaurants and next to a convenience store for gas. The bed could have used a better or thicker blanket. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I apologize for your son having issues here, but I assure you we do not have a bug problem here. We are very pro-active in preventing these kind of issues! After you reported your problem, your room was completely stripped and throughly cleaned, including draperies and completely shampooing the carpets. We also have Midwest Pest Control spray quarterly for pests to prevent them. I hope you have a very happy new year.

Just okay

Pros: Location. The breakfasts were varied and good.
Cons: Thicker towels!
Location: It was convenient to where I was working for the week. I could have stayed closer but I have had good past stays with this chain.
The overall appearance of the room was not so good. There was spackle on the bathroom walls. The carpet was dirty when I noticed how dirty the bottoms of my socks were, yuck. They could certainly spring for some new towels, they were REALLY thin and worn. BUT the price is right, the staff exceptional. I would stay again.

Very Nice Hotel.

Pros: Location and the facilities.
Location: Location is an excellent spot, they have a gas station right next door as well as local store close by.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel was close to the interstate and local businesses, which made it easier to shop when I wanted to.

Good location

Cons: The entrance to the parking lot should be repaired
Location: Location was handy to everywhere we needed to go.
Motel was handy to everywhere we needed to go. Easy checkin, clean room, good breakfast, got help with TV as soon as it was requested, friendly and helpful staff.

OK, but not up to Country Inns and Suites standard

Older hotel, not quite up to the standards of Country Inns and Suites elsewhere. People were nice, facilities a little run down.

Location: Runestone Museum.
I like the Country Inn because their breakfast buffet choices are superior to the usual in comparable places.
