"Great hotel close to many destinations"
We recently visited DC for the first time. . We had the 2 bedroom suite. This worked great for our family of 5. The room was very spacious for our needs and the extra room with the sitting area was great when family from DC was visiting. The room was very clean but you could tell that some of the furniture was ready to be replaced. King Street and King Street Metro stop were right there for all our dining and transportation needs. It was also nice to have the hotel shuttle to pick you up on King St after dinner or shopping. The Metro was very easy to use and took us every where we wanted to go. The morning breakfast was a great way to start our day. The food is typical hotel breakfast food but it served it's purpose. We would stay here again on our next visit.

"A Lovely, Quiet Place to Stay"
This is a great hotel. The entire staff was very helpful, the rooms are lovely, and you can walk everywhere in Old Town Alexandria. Alexandria has a free hop-on, hop-off trolley so getting around town is quick and easy. The drawing room and library are elegant. The wine reception gives you a chance to take a break around five and meet your fellow guests if you wish. I know you'll enjoy your stay in a great city just outside of the District.

"Good affordable hotel, right next to transit"
Hotel was very reasonable. Within a couple blocks of both the yellow and blue lines. Staff were courteous. Rooms were very nice. I think a lot of people have extended stays here, so the room we had included a full kitchen with some dishes and cookware too.

"Old town charm with interiors to die for."
The minute we walked in we loved this hotel. Parking, staff, interiors, convenience all top notch. We had no idea what we were getting into being from Las Vegas and booking sight unseen. Our daughter's joined us from VA and NC and loved everything! It was so easy to hop on the water taxi, trolley and Metro to DC without the high price. We could not have asked for a better stay. Also, dog friendly.

"Not in an activity hub, but very nice"
There is not much to do in the immediate vicinity, but the Metro is a short walk away and the hotel is very nice. Rooms well equipped and comfortable. Staff very courteous and helpful. Restaurant is a good alternative if you decide to stay in for the night. Exercise facility has the basics and rental clothes were brand new and very convenient. Pool closes at 10 and shop in lobby had somewhat unpredictable hours. I've stayed here twice and will likely return.

"Nice Overnight in Alexandria"
I was staying in the area for the Cherry Blossom Festival and found this hotel online. Loved the mini-suite and the bed was very comfortable. Found parking on the street for FREE (rare in DC) and walked easily to King Street shopping and dining. Great breakfast place diagnoally across the street and has been there for more than 100 years. Overall, great stay and location. Really just there overnight, so didn't get a chance to use any amenities. TV worked, so that's all I needed. PLus, it was very quiet, too.

"Perfect hotel with the perfect scenery."
My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel for the weekend for a Washington Nationals game and it was in the perfect spot. We didn't want to stay at a hotel that was in the middle of DC. We kind of wanted to choose a place where there wasn't too much going on but we could over-see everything. This was perfect for us and it only took us about 15-20 minutes to travel wherever we wanted to go (The Game, Zoo, Hard Rock Cafe, Tyson's Corner Center). I am very picky about hotels and I was incredibly impressed with how beautiful and clean this hotel was. We already plan on staying at this hotel whenever we travel to DC.

"Excellent staff"
The staff was so kind to take time to show me places to visit in the area. They recommended the crime & punishment museum which was really awesome. They were very accommodating for a late check out. That helped me tremendously due to me being disabled, and I was going to the Alzheimer's Advocacy and was only staying 1 night. Also loved they had a free shuttle. I did find 1 long black hair in my handicapped shower, but everything else was amazing. Super comfy bed & the pillows you absolutely sink in. I slept amazing. Only recommendation is to put your do not disturb sign so housekeeping doesn't knock on your door & come in when you haven't checked out yet. Excellent hotel. Would highly recommend. Excellent front desk attendants.
