Enjoyed our stay. Facilities excellent. Had a lovely Veranda. The best place we stayed in, in Portugal out of five places. Will go to Lisbon in March 2015, will book the superb, excellent "Hello Lisbon" to accommodate us. The top of the lot. Ask for room 3F.

This unusual hotel is hidden in the winding streets of the Historic Alfama district. The staff were welcoming & helpful. We liked the mix of modern design & old original features, but the wow factor of the Terrace looking out over the red tiled rooftops to the Tagus river was a real bonus.
An excellent choice for exploring Lisbon.

Stayed for 10 days in Sept/Oct in a queen room. Apart from a couple of minor niggles, couldn't fault the hotel. The staff were welcoming, friendly whilst remaining professional, and very helpful. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Very good selection at breakfast - bacon, scrambled egg, sausage, fresh fruit, cereal cheese, meats etc etc. - have had much much worse at 5* hotels. Had read previous reviews about the hilly location and, as my partner has a degenerative back condition, we were slightly concerned, but this was easily overcome by using taxis, which were reasonably priced - a taxi to/from the hotel to the centre was only a few cents more than paying for two of us to use the bus/tram. We did have two minor issues - the hotel collects and then redelivers the kettle with fresh cups, tea, coffe supplies every day. Unfortunately the delivery time was always when we were having a snooze and we were interupted despite having the 'Do not disturb' sign on the door. This was remedied by speaking with reception & the tray was then left outside when we had the sign on the door. I now understand the reason for the low chairs on the room terrace (see previous reviews). They are low so you can't see over the not very high dividing wall between individual room terraces. They weren't suitable for my partner due to his back condition and we had to carry out the stool from the room for him to sit on. Privacy could be easily improved by installing wrought iron screens on the low wall.

What a beautifully restored mansion. Staff was super friendly and responsive to all our needs. Rooms were very big and comfy. You are definitely treated like royalty when you stay here. Front door of the hotel is hidden (accessible only through the back alleyway)

Last night of our week in portugal and sweet lisbon guesthouse ended our holiday in style. Don't be fooled by the dark office building like entrance, this guesthouse is a haven in the centre of old town lisbon.

Located perfectly in central Lisbon, near Rossio train and metro station, walking distance to Praca de Comercio Avenida Libertad, Praca Sao Pedro and famous tram #28. Real Lisbon life from the bedroom window, narrow allies, loud and interesting to watch. Up the alley not so great, dirty and smelled of urine. Apartment had no wifi, which was very disappointing. the place needed a good cleaning and the bed was awful, had to sleep on the couch. A few more drinking glasses would be nice, only had 3. Great to have laundry facilities in the apartment.

When I booked this hostel for one night for 13 euro (breakfast included), my sister told me not to go there. It's suspiciously cheap. I didn't care, because it was only one night. Now I wish, it had been more! I spent a wonderful time in the hostel with openminded people from all over the world, just sitting in the garden that belongs to this hostel, ate a very good breakfast, relaxed before the long trip back home. I strongly recommend staying at the Go Hostel Lisbon!!!
