Hotel close to beachPosted Sep 10, 2014
Location: Excellent location beach fabulous
Very good location but hotel in desperate need of refurbishment pool good but very poor sun loungers and only six umbrellas available, at least 40 needed. The food was good in restaurant but again furniture is broken and frayed. Entertainment very poor and very noisy. General maintenance of grounds is in a poor state of neglect. Are the owners planning to demolish or replace this hotel?

Lovely hotel for chillingPosted May 29, 2012
Cons: No bus service provided by hotel
Location: Location to beach is fantastic but not much locally
We recently came back from this holiday. We stayed in th hotel and found our room to be very clean and welcoming. The air conditioner unit broke on our second day but was fixed within 30 minutes of reporting it. It was fantastic to walk straight onto the beach from the hotel but equally nice just to chill round the pool. When we go back though we will be hiring a car as there is not much around however there is a good bus service just down the road but the service stops quite early.

Definitely not 4 starsPosted Oct 23, 2011
The location is good if you like the beach. The room was OK. Great View of the pool and beach on the ocean front view rooms. The beach was nice. Water in the pool was cold and the air had been +35 c for the previous week. The bathroom only had 1 set of towels. The tub was old. The shampoo was in those little pouches that you have to tear open with your teeth if you don't have scissors. The cakes of soap were those small ones that I have seen in cheap motels all over. This room would be a 2.5 at most. The supper buffet was OK and breakfast was open at 7 as compared to later at most other motels. Be sure to get there early or there will be a wait.

beautiful beach and settingPosted Apr 9, 2008
hotel was clean and comfortable. The food though was not up to much at all, we found that we were out of season so had to travel to Albufeira to eat which could work out quite expensive as the bus was not cheap and finished at 6.30pm so a taxi back was the only option, so if more than 3 of you it would be cheaper to travel by taxi each way. The setting of the hotel was beautiful and the sea view from our room was breathtaking. We had a very relaxing time and found the staff very helpful and most accomodating

Not Real 4 star standardPosted Sep 21, 2005
The Hotel reception were not that helpful although it did depend who was on duty. Check in was terrible as no information was given and unless you asked a clear direct question it was difficult to find out even basic information. The rooms have no tea or coffee making facility and a fridge is only available at an extra charge. Overall not that suitable for children. The food was good and service in the bars and restuarant good and friendly but childrens menu very limited. The beach is lovely and easy to access so definitely a big saving grace. The pools are good for adults but not young children. The resort is remote so a car or paying for tours is necessary if you like to see local areas and try different restuarants and bars. Entertainment was good and the kids club (once we found its existence) very good. German resort. Enjoyed holiday as we made some good friends.
