Great hotel with good facilities.

Posted Apr 30, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness of rooms, welcoming and helpful staff. Quiet position.
Location: Lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby and plenty of places to drink and party in the evening. The old town of Albufeira is easy to reach by taxi.
This is a modern, well maintained hotel which is close to all shops, bars and amenities but is tucked away from the noise of the strip so you get the best of both worlds and a good nights sleep if you choose to retire early! The rooms are modern, extremely clean and well looked after. Staff are really helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is excellent, with a good selection of hot and cold food to suit most tastes. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times in the evening. There is a buffet option and a la carte. We had the buffet on both occasions and really enjoyed it: there was a range of starters, salads and hot dishes, including vegetarian, as well as a dessert buffet. The outside pool area is great for relaxing in and there is a bar service outside too. The roof terrace is definitey worth a visit and not many people seemed aware of its existence! Fabulous sea views and plenty of places to sit... just take the lift to the top floor! There is a private beach about 3 mins walk away with a nice little cafe that does a reasonable range of food during the day, and dinner in the evening. Well worth a visit. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely modern hotel, near to shops and restaurants

Posted Apr 26, 2015
Pros: We liked the tea making facilities, the fridge and the safe deposit box being included in the price of our stay. A lovely clean modern hotel.
Cons: A double room should have two comfortable chairs.
Location: Shops, restaurants, ticket sales for trips and car hire were on the doorstep. Very pleasant area.
We had a very comfortable stay on a bed and breakfast basis. The breakfasts were excellent and offered an extremely wide selection of choice. Plenty of fresh fruit etc as well as a cooked English.

Pros: everything
Cons: could have been offered an upgrade as others were,
Location: the beach is a short walk, some nice bars and restaurants close by,the strip is a short walk away and the old town which is a must
just had our second stay at aqua pedra dos bicos hotel, enjoyed it even more than lastime and the last time was great, the staff are amasing and so helpful, the room was spotless, towels and bed changed daily, the breakfasts were very good and the pool area is great for sunbathing and relaxing.there are some really good bars and restaurants close to the hotel and the beach is only a short walk away.the steps done to the beach from the hotel are a nice shortcut and casa algarvia on the beach serves up amasing seafood with a smile from lovely staff, all in all cant wait to go back.10 out of 10 from us.

Nice to stay but not to eat!

Posted Apr 17, 2015
After a week of eating outside of the hotel we decided to eat at the hotel as a special treat. We ordered from the a la carte menu. We were brought an egg appetiser which we didn't order to start along with bread rolls. This was the only item both of us ate the same. Then we ordered spaghetti Bolognese and a steak. Both main meals were disappointing, in particular the Bolognese. From 2am we were both violently ill and had to make the 12 hour journey home. We are certain it was the egg starter. Hotel staff were also not overly friendly, professional or accommodating. Our recommendation- stay elsewhere!

Nicest hotel I've ever been to

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Beautiful, tasty restaurant, delightful staff, close to everything from the strip to restaurants, there's a ticket shop round the corner to organise excursions which was very handy. Rented a motorbike for cheap from a place round the corner, 80 euro for 4 days. Definitely will be back.

Modern hotel but nothing to it!

Nice hotel and rooms but poor pool area and poor air conditioning. If it's a resort you're after don't stay here, but if you're looking for just a room close to beach it does the job!
