“Very nice, clean hotel”

My stay at this hotel started off bad. Check in is at 4pm. When we arrived after check in time, they informed us that our room was not ready because it had not been clean yet and that we would need to wait about 40 min. A little upset because our room should have been ready upon arrival. Our reservation was made ahead of time. Once we arrived at out hotel I was blown away, it was huge.We stayed in a 3bdr and the kitchen,living room, and bathrooms where very clean. Surprise to find a jetted tub in the 2nd bathroom. The grounds of the hotel where just beautiful. There was more than enough pools for you to use and even a bar where you could get snacks and ice cream for the family. There was a spa, inside swimming pool and gym. Overall, this hotel was wonderful and parking was free and had ample space. I would definitely go back. On the ground about 1/4 mile down the road is the beach which is nice because it wasnt too crowded just mostly the hotel guest. there was a steakhouse just about 1 mile down the road which was great. Breakfast was aveage for an european breakfast, cheeses, hams breads, and fruits. I enjoyed this hotel besides the mix up at the beginning. Will definitely be back. There is shopping near by and is close to the zoomarine and pera where they hold the annual sand castle festival.

“'Simply Paradise'”

My husband and I stayed at an apartment within this hotel complex from 13th - 20th September 2011 and it was quite simply fantastic. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. In particular, a lot of credit must go to Sonia (and Juana) on Reception who did everything possible to make our stay one to remember; there was nothing they would not do for us and always with a smile. There was nothing we wanted for during our stay. This complex has everything. If you want a peaceful idylic setting akin to feeling you are in paradise - then this is the place for you. Miles of golden sandy beaches, beautiful Portugese food and wine, and a stunning apartment to come back to then you've got it. “Relaxing break in excellent surrounding”

We turned up at the door to our 2 bedroom apartment expecting a high standard of accomodation and wasn't disappointed. We are very paticular about cleanliness especially in a high star rated resort as this was. Although out accomodation didn't overlook the pool complex we had a lovely view of the surrounding landscape and also benefited from not having the afternoon sun! The resort pools were clean with plenty of sunbeds although pool side main bar wasn't open till the last couple of days of the holiday. We didn't eat at the hotel restaraunt so cannot comment but the nearby Supermarket was reasonably priced and well stocked. Recommend the coffee shop next door for pastries!!! Salgados beach is only a short walk away via a series of purpose built wooden pathways and once on the beach you can walk for miles. A car is a must if you wish to go and explore and underground parking is provided for you at the resort. The drive from the airport was about an hour and bringing sat nav made it very easy to get to the resort. Would stay again if we were going back to this area! Just a small gripe there was a large amount of building works being carried out so if you were in the wrong part of the complex this could interfer with your holiday thankfully for us we were located well away!

“A Relaxing Week”

The hotel facilities were amazing all of the pools were very clean, the gym was incredible and the indoor pool was at the perfect temperature. The apartment itself was very spacious with a good television and a very well equipt kitchen, the bed itself was very comfortable and the room was cleaned daily to a very high standard. I would recommend anybody to stay there, I was very impressed with the stay in general, the beach is a very short walk away and they have provided a board walk to take you there. check in and out is easy, I highly recommend eating at the well priced restaurant. The one thing I would suggest is to bring a swim cap if you intend on using the indoor pool as they are required and cost 5 euros at the hotel when i stayed.

“Great Stay”

The hotel was very impressive and extremely comfortable, when the kids came into our townhouse - they loved the pool the most ( but the whole family loved the pool ), and it was great after a long day in the sun - we would definitely want to come back again one day.The staff were very friendly and helpful, we were very happy with everything, and have NO complaints at all and we strongly reccommend this hotel to all our friends.This was the best holiday we've had ( this hotel adding strongly to the quality of our holiday ) , even though we've had a little trouble with the airplane delay and trouble finding the hotel, it didn't ruin any aspect of the holiday.

“Lived up to Expedia reviews”

Previously stayed at CS Sao Rafeal and enjoyed new, clean feel of hotel. Decided to try Vila das Lagaos hoping for more flexibility with self-catering. Deserves its 5* rating and my wife and I are very particular! I can only think of one moan - feather pillows are very soft. As for pluses: - Clean, large, modern 2 bed 2 bath apartments with excellent self-catering facilities. Lounge with large screen 50' TV completely separate to bedrooms. My wife was really impressed with the jet bath. - Good safety, doors to rooms have keys and resort has a few gates requiring card access control - Oceano supermarket very well stocked and a short walk away, very easy to ignore self catering and eat at a choice of 4 hotel restaurants - 6 sets of 3 pools so plenty of space. Late afternoon poolside entertainment - Really nice beach, apparently Sao Rafeal is highly acclaimed but Salgados beach was far nicer, easy to reach with boardwalk from hotel - Fairly reasonably priced, very reasonable when considering 5* value for money - Very friendly and helpful staff. Daily maid service does not include dish washing but there is an easy-to-use dishwasher. Cleaning staff only arrive early pm which was not a problem but a little different from nothern European hotels. Hire car with sat nav very useful.

“Would use again”

We found this hotel complex very relaxing. It has all amenities that we needed, set in beautiful well kept grounds. Perfect for golf and general holidays alike. We have recommended to friends and family already. Easily found by hire car from Faro. Not far from the Autodromo Internacional Algarve, where we went to see World Superbike round ( Portimao ). Apartment was of good size with plenty of room for 4 people to stay in comfort. Fully equipped kitchen. Very friendly staff.

“Simply Superb”

We stayed at CS Vila das Lagoas in Early September 2011. We were looking for a quiet relaxing atmosphere with the potential to go out on the evening. The Hotel is approximately 15minutes out of town but its is only a 10-15 Euros taxi. The Hotel is just beautiful, we expected it to be busy but (probably due to the time of year) it was very quiet, but not abandoned. The staff seem to go above and beyond there job descriptions at every occasion as they try to please their customers. We became friendly with many of the staff who were all very pleasant. Our room was superb, up to date fittings, clean and easy to use. We arrived early for check-in and our room was not ready, so they upgraded us to a better room (even though it was our fault). You are two minutes from the beach and have access to any of their 7 or eight pools. I lost count! We were never fighting for a place in the sun as there were enough sun loungers for everyone easily. The shop was just two minutes away also and they are building more at the moment hopefully done before summer next year. The pool bar was exactly what we wanted, cheap cheerful food to hold our hunger. The restaurant we though was unfortunately quite poor but their were multiple restaurants in the surrounding area of high quality (and loads in the town centre). The complex is quite large but you never feel lost in the whole thing, everyone is friendly and knows your face. I can't stress how much we enjoyed this hotel, we are booking for next year!

“A right gem”

On arrival the reception area is clean and uncomplicated. You are dealt with quickly and within minutes are at your room. There is a lot of visible security and underground parking is within seconds of your room. The rooms are awesome. No clutter or unnecessary furniture and so much space. A well equipped kitchen and loads of light through the sliding doors. Cleaning is daily. If you are a golfer then you are yards away from a top notch course. If you are a fitness fanatic; then use the facilities; most of which are free and include instructors. If you love the sandy beach, you are about 400 metres from it and it is excellent. The on site shop is stocked daily and there is a little pastry shop which does an expresso and pastry deal for 1 Euro. Most visitors seem to like thier sport, but don't let this put you off. Enjoy being a slouch; there are not many better places to do it on the Algarve.

“What an experience !!”

The resort and the apartment was very modern, very clean and extremely impressive. I could rave on and on about them but all I can say is it is just as the photos show, which was a pleasant surprise and a first for us. Staff very all very professional. and very smart intheir company uniform We went as a young family with a 15 month old baby at the end of May. We were a little upset as the Kid's club and the pool bar and louge bar were not open. So we only had 1 restaurant to choose from and subsequently had to travel into the town of Albuferia. This was a £10.00 15 minute taxi ride away.
