“Friendly and helpful”

About 15 mins walk from Praia de Rocha and 20 mins in other direction to Portimao. Clean standard rooms and quiet location. Basic pool and bar/snack facilities but I just used it as a base.

“Can't Wait To Return to Portimao & Mirachoro Hotel!!”

The hotel is a tucked away in a nice area, on arriving we were warmly welcomed to the hotel and told that all the facilities were at our disposal. The hotel has a small pool and a medium sized pool. The room has a balcony and storage facilities in the room (fridge, cooker etc), and was very clean, with fresh sheets and towels everyday, impressed with the way they left us if we wanted to sleep in and offered to come back and clean later if we were not ready, and did not invade our privacy or holiday time. They were happy to help with places to go, with a lovely little restaurant right next store. A 10-minute walk and you are in to town, with a nice boat-restaurant, shops and cafes...thoroughly enjoed our time in Portimao, would definately be going back!!

“Comfortable Stay”

A very comfortable apartment located a short way away from the main "strip" in Praia de Rocha. We tended to hop in a taxi most evenings as the walk to the restaurant etc took 15 minutes or so and the taxis are cheap. Staff were friendly and helpful - our only problem was some noisy "neighbours" one evening - Irish songs at 2am! We didn't use the bar or the pool as we headed to the beaches each day but both looked fine.

“Good Self Catering Apartments”

The hotel is situated on the edge of Portimao and is about midway between the beach and the town centre. Both are walkable. The hotel runs free bus journeys to both locations each day apart from Sundays. It is easy enough to find by car and journey takes about 40mins on the A22 from Faro Airport. Facilities in the hotel are good for self catering apartments with most kitchen utensils and each room has its own balcony. Rooms cleaned daily The sunbathing area and pool are good to relax in but can be overcrowded dependent on time of day.

“A good hotel with comfort and a great balcony view”

I stayed here with my friend in August 2007, and we thouroughly enjoyed it. The best part was waking up in the morning to the heat and warmth of the morning sun streaming through our balcony window, furthermore, we had the beautiful view to contend with. The receptionist named Dora was exceptionally helpful in allowing us to plan our days out, book cabs, and in giving us general information about where we were staying in the Algarve. Even at night, the atmosphere of the children and karoke are lovely and really set that 'holiday' feeling.

“Good hotel off season to explore the algarve”

This was quite a basic hotel, clean; reasonable, inexpensive with friendly staff. Stayed out of season. Car parking provided. A good base to explore the algarve.

“It back to the Algarve for us next year.”

Provided a good base for our holiday as we spent it on the beach as we felt pool on the small side. Clean rooms and fresh towels everday and a good shuttle bus into praia de rocha beach. A good pint served in the hotel bar.
