Basic clean hotelPosted Aug 30, 2013
Pros: The proximity to the beach, marina and town- all easily in walking distance.
Cons: The breakfast. The reception and public areas need brightrning up.
Location: Great location for the beaches, marina and Old Town. Hire a bike and go exploring.
The hotel is in a pretty good location, but is right on the main road, so pretty noisy if your room is at the front. Close to the lovely marina in Lagos and a fifteen minute stroll to the beautiful wide beach over the sand dunes. Beyond the marina over the footbridge is the charming Old Town, with cobbled streets and some great cafes, bars and shops. The hotel is in need of updating. Although the bedroom was spotlessly clean, with a very hard mattress and no showerhead in the bathroom! The swimming pool was rather small with no view, so only good for cooling off and not swimming .The breakfast was very basic. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Perfect for a short stay in this scenic part of Portugal.

Pros: Professionally run : clean : sunny [small] swimming pool well maintained : very close to all amenities : staff very helpful : location great : wifi
Cons: Continental breakfast ample : well priced cafe/bar next door if you require a full breakfast and/or lunch/dinner as hotel only caters for breakfast
Location: Within walking distance of beaches : marina : shops : trains
August 2013:- Single occupancy for 7 nights - reasonably priced for the quality of the accommodation and location.

Dated .....but great service and has all you need.Posted Aug 5, 2013
Aside from needing some upgrades and renos, the hotel is in a very good location and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Walking distance to a beach, old city and steps away from train station. Breakfast was also good and the hotel was very clean. I would stay here again for sure.

Great position for a quiet couples holiday !Posted Jul 28, 2013
Pros: Breakfast and freindly staff
Cons: No tea making facilities in the room ! - sorry typical british comment !
Location: The hotel is nicely positioned 2 mins walk from the lively marina and 10mins from the main town and beach.
A family run hotel that is clean and efficiently run. Breakfast had a good selection of fresh breads, fruit, yoghurts and ceral. The hotel is nicely positioned 2 mins walk from the lively marina that has a number of cafes, bars and resturants and 10mins from the main town and beach. Even though it is postioned on quite a busy road and a forty mins. journey from the airport. The hotel pool is quite small but well kept and is a little sun trap - very pleasant. A very good stay and would use this hotel again. The only down side no tea making facilities in the room and the room was a little small.

excellent locationPosted Jul 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
I found the hotel to be fine with only 2 exceptions. My room was to the front of the hotel and suffered a lot of traffic noise. Try to book a room at the rear of the hotel away from the traffic noise. I also found the sound proofing very poor and could hear every sound from the rooms beside me.

fantastic choice for a travelerPosted Jul 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is a wonderful choice for someone who is not a tourist but a traveler. It is right across from the marina, and walking to distance to the beach and to "downtown" Lagos. Susanna, who runs the hotel, is charming and very helpful. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and all you could ask for. A great place to stay overall. Excellent value.

family run hotel and super friendly!Posted Jun 16, 2013
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Hard bed but that's splitting hairs really.
Location: As previously mentioned.
For a last minute deal I don't think you could do better, 10 mins to the beach, close to town but not on it (which personally works for me) and amazingly friendly staff. It was very clean though and I could only pick small things if I was being critical (I.e. a really hard bed but is that worth mentioning). Perfect for a short break.

old world charm and the personal touch!Posted Jul 24, 2012
Location: convienent to town
the staff of this hotel could not be more helpful if they tried...i have never been to this region before and they went well beyond their call of duty to make sure that i was well taken care of....they even switched my restaurant reservation to make sure we did not miss one of the owners favorite places....it was a winner....The Atlantico...supurb! I would definitely reccommend this fine little hotel next time your travels bring you to Lagos.
