Lovely hotel, friendly staff, near the beachPosted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel was close to the beach
Cons: Mattresses a little too hard
Location: Boat Trips, Sightseeing in Albufeira, Beach swimming
I was pregnant and went on short relaxing weekend break with 3 friends before baby arrived. We found staff very accommodating and helpful, even offered us a room to use to shower after check-out as we had late night flights. Hotel had lovely furnishings, staff were very friendly and rooms were very large with a balcony. The pool was beautiful as was the views from the hotel. The beach can be reached by walking through the fishing village or by descending 300 odd steps down the hillside. There are benches at points so you can rest on the way down or up and view is breathtaking. Taxis to Old Town Albufeira are relatively cheap and hotel arranged one for us. The hotel spa has a lovely spa with swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. We went half board and found the food fantastic with plenty of choices available. Would recommend for a relaxing weekend away.

Pros: General service, friendly and helpful staff. Food was very good .
Cons: May be better TV set and more internet facilities.
Location: Location is excellent; near to the beach and surrounded by natural beautiful scenes. Some shops and restaurants nearby which makes staying there evenm
Mostly pleasant and comfortable. We enjoyed the food provided. Our room was served daily and our bed was kept tidy and clean everyday.

Excellent stayPosted Apr 29, 2013
Hi anyone looking to stay at this hotel will not be disappointed, my wife and I had a five night break which we wish had been longer , from the moment we first arrived to our goodbyes everything is done to perfection . The rooms are great, we were on the 2nd floor had a great view of pool area . Breakfast was excellent so much choice , hot or cold food all good , swimming pool area was great , afterwards you could use the indoor pool and jacuzzi and sauna all free of charge . Evening meals were buffet style once again loads to eat good choice of hot food changed daily , could also use the al a cart menu , which we did twice , forgot to mention champagne for breakfast . Cannot wait to go back

Whole experience here was perfect. From the moment we arrived - we checked in around 1am and were greeted with a chilled glass of bubbly and a delicious cold meal in case we were hungry - to the moment we left. The staff couldn't do enough for us and had a smile for everyone. The room was beautiful, the facilities excellent. I am looking forward to the next opportunity to go there, I will definitely revisit the Riu Palace.

Super hotel ...highly reccomendedPosted Apr 15, 2013
We have recently spent 6 days at this hotel from 9-14 March. The hotel was fantastic ...a great welcome from reception staff Costa. A nice touch at check in with a glass of bubbly!. Our room was on the ground floor facing the tennis courts and whilst a nice room the noisy generators outside the window meant our first nights sleep wasn't great. We asked to be moved the next day and without any problem this was attended to. The rooms onthe second floor were much better ...great views of the sea. Rooms were good although the beds are very hard so it would be great if this could be looked at. Room service excellent. The food was fabulous in the restaurant ....great choice ....super service from the staff. The pool was excellent....lots of sunbeds always......great service with beers and ice creams from pool waiter staff. The surrounding gardens very well maintained. Beautiful views from cliffs from hotel amazing. Nice walks on the beach. What can we say ....a truly great short stay and we will be back. Thank you to all the staff at this hotel who work so well as a team and go that extra mile to make sure guests have a great holiday. All staff highly professional and courteous .

Great hotel.Posted Apr 12, 2013
Pros: Location and staff
Location: Quiet place between Villamoura and Albufiera, which would suit older couples
This was an excellent hotel in a quiet area on the cliff top above Olhos D'agua. Guests were mainly couples - middel age and above and were probably approximately 50% UK and 50% German. The staff were all very helpful and friendly (apart from the female staff on reception who seemed quite reseved and distracted?? We would definitely return, and hope to do so later this year.

Half board was greatPosted Apr 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
The resort was very comfortable. Except that in apr when we asked for the air conditioning they said the central system was not on yet as its still winter... The rooms were spacious and has big beds.... Bathrooms were good too. Breakfast and dinner was great.. Hotel was fuss free when it came to having kids around.. Indoor swimming pool jacuzzi steam and sauna were well used by us. We did not take the steps route to the beach as we had an infant so we wento to the village beach which was a few 100 meters away. Free parking was useful. Lovely village outside . Rooms did not have wifi...not nice ... TV sets were old ...

Good hotel, with dinner and breakfast included.Posted Apr 5, 2013
Location: Inbetween the main towns. Locally not much to do.
The hotel was nice overall. The food is good and presented well. The rooms and halls seem a little dated with their dark oak finishes.
