“Brilliant.”

Just stayed here for four days and were very impressed. Clientele is mainly German with a few Brits. Mainly an older crowd than us (we are in our mid thirties). The rooms were spacious along with the balcony overlooking the pool and the sea. Breakfast was continental style but very well presented with at least 4 different fresh breads daily. Hot scrambled egg was available along with sausage. Really good. We have friends that live nearby hence why we stayed there and we are already planning on going back.

“Fulfilled our Expectations”

We found the hotel reviews on Expedia very helpful when making our choice for a 4 night autumn break in the Algarve. We hadn't been to Portugal before and just wanted a complete (sunny!) relaxing weekend. The reviews were very accurate and there were no suprises at Luzmar Vilas. The hotel was set in beautiful gardens, the staff were friendly, the food pretty good and above all everything quiet and peaceful. We could sit by the pool for hours and read with very little company. The walk to Praia was a fair stretch but not difficult. We had no car but found the booked transfer from Faro Airport excellent. All in all just what the doctor ordered!

“fully relaxed now”

the pool was quite chilly and had a few flies in it as the day went on, but thats the only bad thing we can say. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the room was comfortable, and the place had a very relaxed atmosphere. didnt mind the distance to town, as this helped burn off all the lovely meals we had. taxis were quite cheap anyway. weather was great, and we would return again if the moment takes us.

Hotel was perfect, good choice of food at breakfast, hotel was very quiet even though it was full,as was the pool, great if you want a quiet hol with no children around (ours were holidaying elsewhere).Hotel staff were very helpful and you got the feel that it was family run. Room was a good size and you even got a small fridge in it. Praia da Luz was about a 10 minute walk and again it was busy but not packed and this was August. We would definitely go back again. You needed a car to get around and the beach at Burgau was lovely (though lots of families) you can drive right down to the beach here, but the roads are narrow and steep, but a lovely little town about 10 mins drive from hotel. Luz Mar Villas was the perfect hotel for a quiet break away from it all, but enough around if you want it. 10 out of 10.

“What a result”

This was a random choice off of the internet and I have to say I couldn't believe our luck. I have not been to this part of portugal before and I'm so glad that we picked this destination. The hotel is situated about a mile outside of the town centre, it was extremely quiet and peacefull and the walk in the evenings wasn't a problem especially after quite a few good meals in Luz. The staff were very polite and it lead you to believe it was a family run business (probably not but it was the impression you were left with). The location is idealyic, grounds are immaculate. I'd happily stay there again.

“Quiet and relaxing”

A lovely holiday made all the more better by the gorgeous pool, very helpful and friendly staff. This felt like an all inclusive holiday because we were looked after so well. Its far enough away from the tourists and close enough for nights out in the bars and restaurants in Luz. We will definitely be going back.

Very quiet, very good service provided, excellent breakfast but a limited evening meal choice especially if you are vegetarian. The hotel does not accept credit cards so make sure you have plenty of Euros. Pleasant walk into Luz for evenings, lots of restaurants and bars but an all uphill walk back. Pool is cold when you first get in but you get used to it.

“Good hotel, wonderful staff!”

This was our second trip to the Algarve and I could not have picked a better location. We wanted a quiet friendly hotel to use as a base for exploring and this is what we got. The room was simple but adequate, the view was however spectacular. The staff in the hotel were without exeption delightful and very helpful. This is not a place for those who want a lively place to stay but for us was perfect.

Very nice hotel in pleasant surroundings. Staff friendly. Would say this is a family friendly hotel. If you're looking for varied and loud nightlife this is not the place for you. Car recomended.

“Would return again very good hotel”

Very clean and spacious rooms at Hotel you could return here on future visits to Portugal. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent and evening meal is available but very limited choice of main meal only 1 meat and 1 fish dish. Evening meal is a buffet for a fixed very reasonable price do think of this and try at least once on your weeks stay.
