Nice hotel, very helpful staff.

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Very contemporary , has most things one needs.
Cons: Children under 16 are not allowed in indoor pool. This is not stated on website.
Location: Next to marina, supermarkets at walking distance. Good location for old town, shops and beach. Easy to navigate, close to main road.
Pleasant staff, fluent in English, very helpful, clean rooms. Main pool was undergoing repair. Hotel arranged transport to a close by hotel for swimming facility. Would go back again. Excellent location and good views.

Happy With Marina Club Suite Hotel

Posted Sep 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
My husband and I (in our 30's), were really happy with this hotel. We LOVED the minimalist decor and cleanliness is always paramount. It was about a 15 minute walk to the beach, but we didn't mind this at all. There's a bunch of restaurants surrounding the hotel (although this includes a Pizza Hut). For more "authentic?" Portuguese food, it was just a short walk away. Also, upon checking-in they upgraded us from street-view to pool-view, which we were pleased with. P.S. For anyone extremely cautious like me: We inspected the bed twice (we lifted up the mattresses and inspected along the seams and beneath it); once upon entering the room and once before going to sleep–they were very clean and there was no evidence of bugs. Again, anyone looking for a clean hotel to stay in should not be disappointed. Also of note, the hotel is close to the train station, so it's very convenient when you're lugging a suitcase. We walked from the train station to the hotel. We'd definitely stay here again.

Pros: the spacious suite , goodfaciltes, excellent buffet breakfast.
Location: Handy for walking to beaches and town.Plenty of boat trips to grottos etc.Wie variety ofexcellent restaurants
We found the hotel very clean and comfortable. Ideal location for exploring Lagos. One criticism - we were not aware beforehand that use of the indoor pool would require a charge. We really enjoyed the ortuguese evening with music

Great hotel, pool fantastic, excellent location

Posted Sep 7, 2013
Pros: Pool, proximity to Town centre
Cons: Twin beds in a 1 bed apartment, should be an explicit option to choose a double. Pushing two beds together that easily move apart is not ideal.
Location: The town itself is great, still retains its Portugese essence. Plenty of cafes, restaurants and a few good bars too. Wonderful beaches, great golf too
Have been to Lagos numerous times and first time we have stayed here. The Hotel itself was great - the apartment was well presented, air con was great as the weather was fantastically hot and the pool was bliss! Only moan was that the beds were twins pushed together (1 bed apartment) and the beds themselves were a bit firm for our liking. However, those are only small gripes - the location so close to the Marina and a short 10 min walk to the town centre, the pool, the general ambience were all very good and we very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again. We only had breakfast at the hotel on the final morning and did not eat at the Hotel's own restaurant. However, given the cost of breakfast (11 euros P/P) there are plenty of decent cafes which do varied breakfasts within a 5 minute walk on the Marina. Lagos itself is also wonderful!

Good location

Posted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: Good location, big rooms.
Cons: A more friendly reception, time limits on reserving sun beds, well sealed air conditioning units to stop cockroaches falling out.
Location: Location excellent and a short walk to bars, restaurants and supermarket. Beach and old town 10 minute walk.
Well located hotel for town and beach with very large living area and kitchen .A functional hotel which lacked a little atmosphere and the receptionist staff were not over friendly. Pool was also open to the whole of the Marina complex so was very busy. This needs to be clear in the hotel description.

Great location, clean, spacious basic apartment

Posted Aug 15, 2013
Pros: Location
Great location with the marina and plenty of friendly bars and restaurants near by. Despite this though it was very quiet so we were not disturbed at all. The Pool was sheltered so great when windy (as it was quiet a bit during my 10 day stay). The beach was just a 10 minute walk with plenty of sun loungers (10e per day) and restaurant all along it. They were well spaced out and the beach was never crowded. I particularly loved Linda's bar - lovely food, nicely set out, very friendly efficient staff. I also liked Dune bar was set around a small pool so you could enjoy the beach and pool at the same time. They had evening pool parties which I wish I had managed to get to but never did. The area offered lovely clean, sandy, spacious beaches. I'd recommend both the hotel and the location as I had a wonderful time here.
