Impressive hotel/apartments with beautiful viewsPosted Feb 26, 2014
Pros: We both liked the out-of-season peace and quiet.
Cons: The Health Spa could do with a revamp. This is such a developing area of hotels, and I think improving the Xanadu would add to the excellence.
Location: Beach, the Strip (Tat Central!), the outdoor pool is fab... All the usual things you'd expect from a Viva Espania style package, really.
The Oura Beach View Hotel and Apartments is a clean, modern, friendly place to stay. The studio apartment in which my friend and I stayed (Room 914) was pristine. The kitchenette was well-equipped, the beds were firm with clean linen, the balcony was furnished with a table and chairs for breakfast dining, and the bathroom was just right for our purposes. (Bath fill-up time was impressive!) We went out of season deliberately: we just wanted to sit, read, snoozle, lounge about, get massages, wander about without being crushed by marauding hoards...The Oura Beach View was perfect for that. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. The Xanadu Health Club and Spa is also good (although the changing room was rather tiny, so if you're planning on using the indoor pool, do all your changing and drying off in your room!) and the masseuse was AMAZING! She really has The Touch! However, I did have Xanadu by Olivia Newton John going round in my head all week. Still do, actually... I wish I'd known that there was a DVD player in the room, because I'd have taken some films with me! However, the bar is a fun place to hang out, and I can heartily recomment the Barman of Portugal (cocktail! Although the Barmen of Portugal were jolly nice too!)

Reasonably priced accommodation with a million dolPosted Dec 1, 2013
Pros: The hotel is older but very well maintained with friendly and helpful staff. There was daily maid service as required and the location is perfect.
We found our accommodation at Oura View Beach Club to be even better than expected. The ocean view from our one bedroom apartment was spectacular. The kitchen was well stocked and we found the food prices reasonable at the local markets, and restaurants. The weather for November was perfect, sunny and warm most days, but it did cool off at night so bring some warm clothing too. Late October/November is a perfect time to explore the Algarve without the crowds. There were good deals on car rentals right around the corner, and lots of free parking on site at this time of year. I would highly recommend this location to anyone.

Pros: The location is excellent and is located within 2 minute walk to the strip. Bar prices are reasonable.
Cons: Rooms a little tired and entertainment at night was poor.
Location: On the beach and 15 minute walk to the old town so position perfect. Both Lisbon and Gibraltar are doable in a day. We went to Lisbon and it rained.

Very good location and viewPosted Oct 9, 2013
Pros: The location, the view and it is very clean. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Location: Location couldn't be better.
I would highly recommend this hotel/apartment. It has lovely views overlooking the sea, the pool area is huge with a bar that does very nice food. The apartments are very spacious and kept clean, the building in general is very clean. Its location is fantastic, a 1 min walk to the beach and a 5 min walk (up a hill) to all the bars, restaurants and clubs in Albufeira. I will defintely be booking here again.

Lovely swimming pool and surroundings .Posted Oct 5, 2013
Pros: If you get on the 4/5/6/7/8 floor the rooms are fantastic.
Cons: Keep up the maintenance and updating of rooms
Location: Great swimming pool and beach close by.
After using the Oura View Beach club since 1989 on many occasions originally Monteshero Beach Club , my wife and I were surprise that standards had slip regarding the room. We have always stayed in a T2 room in the past and this time stayed in the T1 room E021. The marble kitching top was badly damaged around the sink unit to the point of falling away. I paid for wi fi for the week in the room but it never worked, did ask for it to be sorted but was refunded at reception. The phone was not working ,this was replaced when we realised on the third day. Regarding the staff and complex my wife and I love it, that's why we return.

Excellent hotel!Posted Jun 4, 2013
It said on the website we couldn't check in until 5 pm so we were prepared to leave our bags for the afternoon. Upon arrival around 12 noon we found out our room was ready which we were happy with. The room was nice, apartment style so able to by breakfast to have in hotel to save money. Room smelt a little of smoke but we were really only there at night and opened the balcony door for fresh air. Very close to the strip with lots of restuarants, cheap taxi to both old town and the bus terminal.
