Very friendly & knowledgeable staff. Beautiful setting, a bit quiet at the hotel but close enough to the nightlife of Alvor & Portimao.

“Fantastic”

We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly, the room was very large, comfortable and well decorated. The inclusive buffet breakfast had a wide choice of food. The back drop to this hotel was stunning and the town of Alvor was pretty, and although it had ample bars and resturants it still retained it's identity. We had a fantastic week long holiday and would highly recommend this hotel and the resort, and look forward to a return trip.

“Oppulance at its best”

This Hotel is a dream come true. From the time of arrival to the time of departure, the staff ensure your stay is of the highest quality. The pleasure of sitting on the balcony looking out to blue skys and emerald seas cannot be over emphasised. If that wasn't enough the pianist whilst eating breakfast capped a fabulous week.

“A very relaxing week away”

We have just returned from a week away staying at the Pestana Alvor Praia.We found the hotel staff very friendly and efficient.Breakfast each morning was excellent with everything you could wish for in abundance (including champagne!!!) The location of the hotel is perfect with a beautiful,quiet,clean sandy beach just a "lift ride" away from the outdoor swimming pool.The impressive hotel gardens are immaculately kept with a pond and fountain directly outside the main doors. Alvor is a small, pleasant town about 15 minutes walk from the hotel but there is not a great deal to do and if you want a lively resort then this is not the place to go. However just along the coast, towns such as Lagos or Portimao are more geared up for the tourist, with Albufeira around a half hours drive away. Overall we had an extremely relaxing early spring holiday in the sunshine whilst it was snowing back in the UK and would not hesitate to recommend the Pestana Alvor Praia to anyone wishing for the same.

“Fantastic Stay”

We visited during May 2011 We thoroughly recommend this hotel and will be going back again next year. We would highlight the excellent service from all staff members, quite the best I have experienced. Location of the hotel is outstanding and the views from our hotel balcony were nothing short of breath taking. Local restaurants are well worth a visit. “Would visit again”

This hotel has a wonderful location with views over the stunning coastline and direct access to beach. It is a little way out of the town centre (which suited us). Very relaxing. The outdoor pool is large enough and quiet enough to really swim in and sparkling clean. Breakfast choice excellent including eggs, omelettes and waffles freshly cooked to order. Best of all was the breakfast pianist. Evening entertainment disappointing though.

The hotel is fantastic. 5 star + service all round. Staff are great, view are amazing, 2 pools. We had a ground garden room viewing sea, so could walk straight off porch onto gardens onto beach! Lots of attractions within walking or cheap taxi distance (max 20euros each way!). Also has free bus to local village with lots of boat trips. The hotel does a great 3-2-1 dinner service as well which is value for money with delicious food. You can also have organised day trips to see lots of local attractions as anything from 15-30 euros each, and the weather was fantastic, leaving me with a lovely tan!!! It can't get much better than this xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

“Absolutely top notch!”

This hotel is spectacular in every sense of the word. What an absolutely breathtaking location right on the beach! You could truly spend your entire vacation on the grounds without leaving for anything, yet if you wanted to, everything is close by. The staff and the facility were outstanding and the price can not be beat. The grounds were absolutely beatiful. I would go back in a heartbeat!
