Great experience. Beautiful hotel and grounds. The beach is spectacular. The seafood restaurant Pescatore was outstanding. The cafe and beachfront restaurants were fine but nothing special. We would come back and stay longer.

Heaven on Earth

Posted Oct 10, 2013
Pros: The cleanliness, the appearance, the attention to detail, the helpfulness of the staff and the loving care with which the staff look after the complex
Cons: Nothing
Location: Pine Cliffs borders Praia da Falesia, a fabulous stretch of beach between Vilamoura and Albufeira. The 9 hole golf course is a pleasure to play.
Pine Cliffs is a select holiday resort with every facility you could think of. The numerous cafes, restaurants and bars compliment the sporting activities and the 'white village' atmosphere and community life style add to a feeling of the place being something special.

Nice place, on the beach.

Our apartment had a terrible mold smell, we complained and they moved us, we have stayed there before and I’m a SPG member, you would think they would upgrade you to a better apartment since it was evident that they had plenty of open apartments in the green, but because you booked on the internet at a low cost they look at you like you are a cheap person , which I’m not, I just look for a good deal, this was not.

Very nice complex, expensive though

Posted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Our apartment, beautifully kept gardens to walk through on the way to anything.
Cons: Expensive, bit of a trek to the beach, not really accessible to disabled or anyone who can't manage steps but they can't do much about that.
Location: Few miles outside of Albufeira. A few bars, restaurants & supermarket just on the road outside the complex, more reasonably priced and food very good.
Large complex a few miles outside of Albufeira. Quick drive from Faro airport, but hard to find when you get there (no address for sat nav to search for and the road names and signs didn't tally with our print out from Google maps). Complex includes an upmarket hotel, golf course, about 4 restaurants and a few pools, small private beach. Booked a standard 1 bed apartment for the weekend. Cheaper than a room in the (very nice hotel) and they pointed out it was not a luxury apartment but it was extremely nice. Probably better than a room as more space. I had specifically asked for a double bed and we only got 2 twins that couldn't be joined as a double, so that was disappointing. Bit of a walk down to the beach, about 10 minutes from our apartment which was on the road side of the complex. You have to get a lift down the cliff face then a long wooden walkway to the beach, but it was very picturesque at the foot of the cliffs when you get there. Only thin, so all the sunbeds are squished together. Wouldn't be much fun in peak season, but fine in October. Long beach though so if you don't mind a towel on the sand instead, there's plenty of space. Predictably drinks and food are expensive in the complex, although the dinner we had was superb. I suspect most people who stay there don't go outside of the complex.

We didn't get what we booked!

Posted Sep 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
We booked for 3 people and were told we needed 2 apartments. We didn't need this as one apartment has 3 beds. No one would compensate us for an empty apartment. We requested ground floor level and the apartments next to each other as aged person couldn't walk and needed help. We were given an apartment up 4 flights of stairs. The other apartment was a block away. Not happy.

Heaven (well almost) on earth

The Pine Cliffs resort is simply awesome. Beach on your doorstep. High quality rooms. Decent indoor pool. Golf. Excellent gym. What more good you want. Well some more reasonably priced dining options plus wi-fi in all guest rooms. You expect to pay a lot for dinner in a place like this - in previous visits but the option of a less formal meal for young kids would have been appreciated. A limited no of restaurants near by offer far better value for money.

Fabulous Portuguese coastal resort

Absolutely fabulous, location, rooms, facilities and sevice, we will definitely be going back . The staff are courteous and hospitable, the food was excellent, the breaffast buffet in the Jardin Colonial was the best we ever had, with the freshly squeezed orange juice being exactly that and continuously replenished.
