“What a find!”

We booked at the last minute and took other peoples comments on board. The apartment was huge, beautifully decorated, well furnished, fabulously equipped and extremely clean. The resort itself is a 10 minute drive to the Marina where the bars and restaurants are, so we hired a car and parking was free at the McDonalds in the centre of town. The bar food was good but only served until about 7pm. The hotel food is good but quite expensive. There is a courtesy bus into town if you don't fancy driving. Room service was great although a little unpredictable time wise but this was made up by a fabulous clean each day. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely go back.

“Hotel heaven”

The hotel is immaculate. All areas very clean. Breakfast very tasty and caters for all tastes. Snacks by the pool tasty but a little expensive as were the drinks by the pool. The courtsey bus into Vilamoura a great bonus this year - was not available last year. Very convenient and always on time! Saves time waiting for a taxi! Could be more frequent if possible? Very little entertainment in the hotel but if you want a relaxing holiday in luxury this is the hotel for you. A car is necessary if you want to get out and about -good parking.

“Best for Golfers”

The hotel was 2 months old and situated on the edge of the 'Oceanica' golf course. It was a taxi ride to the marina and town and not a walk. The prices in the hotel were 5 star with a large beer and a voddy and coke was euro13.50. Had a meal with wine and hey took euro145.00. The taxi is euro8 into town!!

“Great golf hotel”

The Tivoli Victoria is in terms of design and comfort a real 5* hotel. It is a great hotel to stay if one wants golf courses nearby and a good Spa. It is recommended to have a car to be able to go to golf courses and to e.g. the Vilamoura Marina for lunch or dinner. The service in the hotel could be improved on, especially at the swimming pool, where during our stay there was no attendant and people had to sit on sun beds etc without cussions.

“Complete relaxation”

I had a wonderful 4 day stay as a lone traveller at the Tivoli Victoria. The room was immaculate, I arrived early and wanted to wait for the room I booked (golf view sunn balcony). I was by the pool within moments, and the sun loungers and beds are comfortable and plentiful. All staff were polite and friendly, I was particularly impressed by the waiters and waitresses, my first time travelling alone and was made to feel completely at home when dining but was also given lot's of quality attention to detail. Food was excellent, I did not have lunch but breakfasts plentiful and delicious, dinners beautiful. Food prices ok, drink prices about average for 5 star. Vilamoura is lovely for a short break - the beach lovely but quiet, roman ruins worth a visit just behind marina, and the marina itself is fascinating. I'd go again tomorrow - and stay here. Stayed at the Hilton last time, which I would also recommend, but of the two this offered the better view and better room - but only just, I'd happily return to both. Yes, you are some distance from the marina - but I like to be away from it all and pick and choose when I see lots of other people. Go, you won't regret it. I was very stressed before going but was chilled within hours of my arrival.

“Great relaxing 5 star holiday”

The hotel officially opened in June 2009 and it was as good as the brochure promised. The facilities are everything that you would expect of a 5 star hotel. Meals were excellent, staff were very customer focussed, and the place was new, clean and well equiped. Rooms were substantial and superb, so was the gym. WIFI everywhere even around the pool. The whole experience was excellent and we would recommend it to anyone and will go again next year. The only down sides are minor: Having hired a car you arrive through a very new housing complex which detracts from the 'wow' factor shown on the web site. The hotels location means that, in my view to enjoy the holiday, you must have a hire car. Its about 3k as the crow flies from the sea. There is a sea view over the golf course and nature reserve. Its about 10 mins drive from the marina and a beach. There are no other restaurants or bars that you could easily walk to. To take account of this, the hotel provide a mini bus service to the centre but it is not frequent. Anyway its a great hotel and I would recommend it for a peaceful relaxing holiday to anyone!

“Would go back”

This is a beautiful new large hotel with a championship golf course. The rooms are larger than average and have a "japanese" feel bathroom. The balconies have a luxury type bed for two. The meals and drinks are slightly overpriced and there are no comlimentary tea or coffee facilities in the room, there is however a pod type coffee machine which is not free and is overpriced, so read the manual. The pool area is lovely with a waiter service bar for snacks and drinks. There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas and good sunbathing areas. There is a wonderful spa, but this again is expensive as expected, however we did treat our selves. There is a Kids club which is well run, so the hotel is family freindly. My daughter and I went for a break, we expected at least SOMETHING happening in the evening, but nothing, not even a piano, just a bar. One would think that in July there would be something to do in the eveniings. We had to take the complimentary shuttle bus into Vilamoura every night to eat or during the day to shop. The bus is good but doesn't seem to have the right timings , and we used taxis quite a lot to get back. Overall we would certainly go back simply because it is a very nice hotel.

“April vacation”

Very nice location. Perhaps somewhat far from the action but if you have a car it's no problem. No free wifi in room but you can get Internet if you bring a Ethernet cable or walk across to the hotel where they do provide free wifi in the lobby. Pool area is great for families and a good playground too. We stayed here first week of April and found that much of the area is still closed down from the winter. So you'll need to be able to have some ideas, if you are bringing kids, on what you will entertain them with.
