"Great for young families"
This hotel is ideal for families travelling with young children. We had reserved a junior suite, which accommodated a family of 4 easily. First impressions of the hotel were that it was a little dated, but it was clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The restaurant had a variety of food available on the menu, which changed daily and everything that we selected was of good quality. The staff at the hotel were helpful with our queries and although our children didn't speak Italian the resort staff made an effort to include them in activities where possible. The best feature of the hotel is its location - on a protected, private beach with sea temperatures equating that of a warm bath. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at this hotel.

"Good basic hotel with nice pool"
The rooms were fairly basic but spotless and better than I had been expecting after reading some tripadvisor reviews. The bathrooms were modern with a great shower. The sound proofing however was really poor, and as I was travelling with my sons aged 10 and 8 years old, this gave me concern for the neighbouring rooms! The swimming pool was really lovely and there were always sun beds available, and the table tennis and table football at the pool side were a great bonus. Breakfast was good but the evening buffet was a little disappointing. The friendliness of the staff was a bit hit and miss! The buses into Alghero were unreliable and so we ended up catching taxis (€10 each way). Alghero itself is a beautiful place to visit. The beach was good for children, but absolutely packed and littered with cigarette butts. I would go there again for a few days, but not for my main annual holiday.

Pocket Guide: Alghero, Alghero Family Hotels

Its long sandy beach backed by pine trees, Alghero combines medieval old town charm with all the attractions of a stylish seaside resort. Al fresco bars and restaurants and boutiques sit happily between Alghero’s seven defence towers, its Gothic cathedral and a host of palazzi and churches. On the waterfront is a working fishing fleet, a marina and boat trips (Neptune’s Cave is recommended). Water sports include diving along the Coral Riviera.
