“Lovely hotel”

Lovely hotel, if a little way from town and sandy beaches. Staff were exceptionally helpful, room was v. comfortable, although the seaview balcony may not have been worth the supplement, as it was on the ground floor, on the road, and next to the trade entrance (sometimes noisy early mornings). The half-board option was well worth it, good selection of beautifully prepared dishes.

“What a lovely stay”

The stay at the Pedraladda was extremely pleasant. The staffs is always trying their best to help. The sea view was a treat and the restaurants are just a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Castelsardo is ideally located to drive to either the east or west side of the island and see the most amazing coastlines and beaches. I would go back tomorrow.

incredible views from all rooms, would go there anytime again, the only thing worth changing are the matresses, a little too hard.

We recently travelled to Castelsardo and spent 4 nights at the Pedrallada Hotel on a B&B basis. I was pleasantly surprised as the quality of the hotel over exceeded my expectations. Rated as a 3* hotel we didn't expect much more than a basic hotel where we would just go back to sleep late at night. Our room was very spacious with a private balcony(it is worth paying a bit more for a room with a sea view and also some rooms had shared balconies)and all equipped with air conditioning. The bathroom was fantastic with a nice mediterranian decor. The hotel has its on private beach with umbrellas and chairs (free of charge)and a private path leads to it. I found it a bit small and difficult to go for a swim even though the water was crystal clear it was difficult to get through the rocks but there are so many nice beaches in Sardinia that you would want to experience them all. One more thing worth mentioning: They have an entertainment team called "The Colourful Team". Most of them are young 20 year olds and we found them rather annoying as they constantly wanted people relaxing by the pool to take part in their games (karaoke, card games, ball games etc.) They were rather loud and more of a pest than entertainment so if you want to relax or rest by the pool they might not let you do so... All in all we had a fantastic time and I would highly recommend the place! Barbara & Kevin

“Wish we were still there!”

We've just returned from a wonderful stay at the Peddraladda Hotel. We were really well looked after by the very friendly staff, for whom nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable, though be sure to book a room overlooking the sea, as the views are lovely. We booked half board, thinking we would eat out some evenings, but in actual fact we ate in every night as the food was excellent, with lots of variety, very fresh and irresistable! Castelsardo is a small but unspoilt hill town, which we enjoyed visiting. The hotel is located about 20 minutes walk from the town, which was reasonable. We had a hire car which meant we could explore the local area easily, though the hotel does organise some good excursions by coach to places like Alghero and the Archipelago Maddalena, both lovely places to see. It also runs a mini bus service to local beaches, but we were happy to use the hotel beach a couple of minutes walk from reception; it was never busy, we practically had it to ourselves. The hotel also provided umbrellas and deck chairs. There were other beaches you could walk too, which never seemed crowded either. The hotel pool was great, overlooking the Mediterranean. There was lots of entertainment during the day and in the evenings, and they seemed to offer great facilities for children. I would highly recommend the Hotel Peddraladda for a summer holiday - service was great, and we came back thoroughly relaxed!

“Good for families with children”

Excellent for families with children. Sometimes quite loud music in the evening though(children's entertainment)but the double-glazing is good and the music stops by midnight. Worth getting the sea-view rooms despite the extra cost. Friendly staff, nice pool, good food (half board is worth it at the price)

“Recommended for a short break”

We had a great time here in May 2007. The hotel is located in a no through road, so is very quiet. Lots of steps so not suitable for the less mobile. Sea view room excellent. Clean, good condition, power shower, air conditioning good. Food nice, but could have been hotter and could be a bit repetitive if staying for a week or more. However, if you can get this hotel at a good price, I would recommend half board as eating out can be expensive, and there were not many restaurants within walking distance of hotel.

“Beautiful setting”

Make sure you have room with sea views well worth it.Rooms very clean, cleaned every day.Air conditioning own remote very effective.Would recommend but started to get busy when we left 25thJune 2007 best to avoid July & August.Lovely walk into town with plenty of bars & restaurants.
