Spectacular Spa, a perfect honeymoon hotel.

Pros: Everything!
Cons: Make it cheaper!!!!
Location: Not really near anything handy, but we did not want to move from the hotel anyway.
My daughter and I wanted a relaxing, spa five day break. We certainly got that and a whole lot more. This hotel may be expensive, but it is star quality all the way and we felt it was worth every penny. The surroundings are like a piece of Thailand has been transported to Spain! We made use of the outdoor pools, despite them being rather cold. There were plenty of loungers in secluded areas and we enjoyed the thoughtful service from the bar staff. Breakfast was amazing, with an outstanding choice, as was the evening buffet. Being half board, we were delighted to be able to eat at one of the other restaurants one night, paying only for the main dish. All the staff were delightful, smiling and polite, in both the hotel and the spa. We experienced five different treatments in the spa, each time making use of the fabulous pool. We had the place to ourselves on most occasions. We left the Barceló Asia Garden Hotel in a much better frame of mind than we had on our arrival and would have no hesitation in returning or recommending it to all and sundry! If you want pampering, hang the expense!

fabulous hotel

Pros: The beauty and tranquillity of the grounds and hotel, the excellent staff service, the food.
Location: Only 45 minutes from Alicante airport so perfect for a relaxing spa trip or sunshine break
I stayed with my daughter for 4 nights at the end of May. We booked a standard deluxe room but were given a lovely room on the top floor with a large balcony and a side sea view. Very comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom with great separate shower and loo cubicles. The grounds of the hotel including the pool areas are absolutely amazing - the tropical planting is very lush and there are lovely views in every direction. It was relaxing just to walk around the grounds each day. The way the pools and planting are combined gives a feeling of peace, space and privacy. The hotel was quiet, always a huge choice of sunloungers. The staff were discreet but attentive and couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Buffet at both breakfast and dinner were wonderful, lovely choice of high quality food, including local spanish food as well as Asian food on some nights. WE were so impressed with the buffet we didn't get round to trying the speciality restaurants. The inclusion of wine with half board was very welcome!

The most amazing weekend. Greeted on arrival with a warm flannel and tea. From the spa to the seven swimming pools. This hotel is true luxury.

Celebration of 40 years of marriage at great hotel

Pros: Great swimming pools with lots of privacy and excellent staff
Cons: Keep the snack bar opened later than 5pm
Location: Drawback: need taxi to get to beach and shops, everything is about 15-30minutes away
Relaxing and luxurious stay though surprised by so many children at hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The buffet was amazing, quality of food excellent. The only slight moan is the price of drinks at the bar.

Ultimate Relaxation

Posted Jun 7, 2013
Pros: Calm ambience
Cons: Too much food!
Location: Best thing is it is NOT in Benidorm. Never leave the hotel!
This hotel is an excellent choice for calm and tranquility. No nightlife but relaxation in bucketloads. Definitely recommend it for busy professionals needing a chill out zone in less than two hours' flight from the UK.

An Oasis above Benidorm

Posted May 30, 2013
Pros: The lush gardens, the staff and the general ambience
Cons: Noisy, ill behaved guests
Location: Had a fabulous view overlooking Bendorm
The staff could not have been more friendly, the Spanish guests were delightful, the only thing that spoilt it was the loudness of some of the English guests from Essex!
