“wish we were still there”

We picked a good place to stay, Its 6 years since we last visited Torrevieja and the old place has grown rather a lot, but Aldea del mar is at the best side for walking or driving into town or going to the beach,the apartments are well equiped, and comfortable. The only slight problem was perhaps the instructions on finding the place. We know Torrievija well but even we had a few problems.The reception was closed when we arrived and the instructions are very vauge.But we had a lovey holiday it was very nostalgic visiting places we have not been to for years. We would recomend it as re-visit.Or perhaps you may fancy a change from the usual package to Benidorm or Salou go on, hire a car and see spain at your own pace, its well worth the effort.

“winter bargain”

This hotel was a complete bargain in december for a 2 bed apart hotel room for 4. The staff were really helpful; e.g. the travel cot was already put up for us when we arrived. The info was great, the bathroom looked like a 4*hotel. there were 2 good size bedrooms and a nice living room, tastefully decrated in a rustic/moorish style. The only slight prob is finding it...there are lots of aldea del mar apartments in that area...the reception isnt obvious, but says "Grupo hotels" "Dorado" on a paper sign on a little door which is up some steps. We just asked some people on the street and got directions. Overall v impressed with the standard and would definately go back.

“Good Base for Torrevieja”

Just returned from 10 days late August 2009 . 2 adults with teenage daughter in 2 bedroom apartment Beautifully landscaped complex was quiet and secure in easy walking distance of town. Staff very helpful. Rooms spacious and well equipped with AC ( vital in August ) functional kitchen and washing machine was useful bonus. Plenty of street parking - no issues at all Fantastic pool in adjacent block is chargable but well worth it with excellent restaurant for lunch.

“A very pleasant stay.”

My sister and I needed to visit Torrevieja for a couple of days and originally were looking for a hotel with two single rooms. We settled on this place, a one bed room appartment, a sofa bed in the sitting room, a kitchenette and bathroom. It said it, technically, slept 4 but I thought it would be just about fine for two. We were upgraded - at no extra cost - to a lovely two bedroom appartment, with a balcony overloooking some nice internal gardens. Free tea, coffee and biscuits and full self catering facilities. Air Con, heaters and extra blankets covered all temperatures! CD player, Digital TV with 20 English speaking channels (yeah, very parochial I know) suited me. Very quiet off season but perfect for us - and the two of us stayed for less that the price of a single rooma in any other local hotel.

“Club Aldea del Mar”

My initial experience was when I rang the hotel from the UK to arrange transport from and to the airport. A young lady answered who promptly hung up on me twice! This didn't give me a lot of confidence. Having arrived in the area (which was a very large residential area it was difficult to actually locate the reception. We were only able to do this with the help of a local resident. The reception was closed and I eventually got through on the telephone numbers printed on the wall outside. At that a man named "Emelio" arived and was incredibly helpful. Booked us in and took us to our apartment and showed us around etc. The apartment was great with only minor faults i.e. the patio door stuck and the air condition didnt seem to work but apart from that it was great, with a lovely balcony overlooking a well maintained garden.
