Gran BaliPosted Nov 6, 2014
Pros: the room was comfortable and the staff pleasant and the food generally very good
Cons: some guests in rooms close by are noisy and not considerate to others. the hotel could do more with signs in lifts and other areas to remind people
Location: Location is excellent. Not central but marvellous beach nearby.
The hotel offers value for money and the weather is excellent in October

Hotel Gran Bali Benidorm. A mixed review.Posted Oct 4, 2014
We have just spent 5 days at the Gran Hotel Bali for a short Autumn break. I will start with the positives, the view from our 10th floor room was fantastic. There were no stampedes in the morning for the sunbeds (probably down to the unpredictable weather) and overall cleanliness was ok. On the flip side, it seemed like a hotel was under pressure with not enough staff, the receptionist struggled to tell us about the hotel as he kept answering the phone while checking us in. Food variety was limited and dirty plates were left on tables for long periods. The entertainment catered only for the elderly with slow accordian and organ music! So people with a little more life would have to go elsewhere. There are no Tea making facilities in the rooms. All extra facilities had to be paid for ie the gym, wifi. To summarise, the hotel is ok if you are looking for a short break but we question its 4 star rating as it does not come close to the other 4stars we have stopped in.

Lovely hotelPosted Sep 19, 2014
Just returned from 4 nights at the Gran Hotel Bali, had a lovely stay. The hotel is in the quieter part of Benidorm which was nice during the day and it is only a bus or taxi ride to all the night life. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the hotel was very clean and the pools were lovely with no problem getting a sunbed and brolly. Would definitely stay there again

Long Weekend to BenidormPosted Aug 11, 2014
Hotel was great, only problem was the lifts which were always full and took forever to arrive This led me to walk the 8 flights of stairs constantly which was great for my fitness 20 min walk to local beach which I can only describe as excellent It was clean well supervised and had excellent facilities for any mobility impair person, which is something the UK could do with

A bit too far out of townPosted Jun 21, 2014
Cons: Staff attitude. Room cleanliness (room not cleaned one day, nor bin emptied another). Spoke to people on all inclusive who said they felt second class
Location: Nice secluded beach nearby that is not on the main bay and isn't over populated with tourists.
Looking dated, and not the jewel in the crown of Benidorm. Do expect to get completely frustrated with having to wait for the incredibly slow lifts that, if you are in building 2, only accommodate 3 people at a time. So when one does eventually turn up, you can't get in it anyway due to a couple of people already being in it from a higher floor. Initially given a room on the first floor in building 1 that was shabby and dated. Very poor view, with a balcony in the shadows of the structural surrounds. Asked for a room change on the second day after many Spanish visitors checked out (much better in building 2 on the eleventh floor). Breakfast is an appalling, free for all buffet. Good job they have a bus stop at the side of the hotel, because you soon get fed up with the long walk to get anywhere like the Old Town. Stand by for long delays at reception, where you will find out that you have to pay a daily rate for the safe in your room, and that there is no wifi (not even in the lobby) unless you pay for it. And when I say pay for it, I mean per device! This hotel does not give you a four star experience. Having spoken to some British locals, they say that they have constantly been told by other people staying at this hotel, that it isn't up to much. There are better ones in better locations, so be careful when booking.

Pros: the view you get of the outside
Cons: yeah change the sockets could not get to re charge my ipod because of the stupid two socket plugs in wall
Location: Location is ok but there is not much night life but there is a few we bars and they are all friendly and welcome you with open arms
thought room was ok but had few problems with key card entering my room . also walls are very thin so you can hear everything on a plus side you do get a great view

Hotel stayPosted Jun 12, 2014
Hotel excellent just a pity it is quite a way out of the night life as we were on a stag weekend, but if you want a relaxing holiday it would be great as there are bars etc around the hotel area.
