“Handy for Alicante airport”

After a really horrible drive through the tangle of roads around Elche, it was good to arrive at the modern, cool and clean surroundings of the Hotel Areca. It is right on the edge of Torellano and has a view of the airport. We were not at all bothered by aircraft noise, however, as the hotel has super-good double glazing. The spa was a little strange - it was baking hot outside and hardly the weather for a steam or sauna experience! We didn't use the restaurant but the menu seemed good and the terrace for evening dinner looked attractive. All staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was good value as the room was very comfortable and well-equipped. A useful choice if you need to get to Alicante airport, as it was only a few minutes away by car.

“Excellent for Alicante airport”

Very pleased with the room following late arriving flight. Very close to airport, underground parking. Fully stocked and stylish room (plus nicely designed lobby and garden). Very nice buffet breakfast. Recommend.

“Great little hotel for a great price”

This convenient and cute little hotel is surrounded by tons of restaurants, is about a 10 minute drive to the beach, and the Alicante airport is two roundabouts away. Our room was quaint and we loved the modern feel it had. The restaurant in the hotel had good food and even better service. After a day at the beach, we definitely recommend spending some time in their spa/pool. It was different, interesting, and very relaxing. Oh and not sure what was going on, but at about 1am we woke up to a firework display outside our window about a half mile away, which was a cool way to top off our trip to Spain.

“Brilliant for Alicante airport early departures”

Suoerb, modern "Boutique" style hotel. Large room and even larger walk-in shower, with an unusual sliding glass door on the large toilet cubicle. Pleasant airy bar area with a good range of light meals. Free internet terminals on a mezanine space in the huge reception lounge. Details said they provided a cable to connect to the net in the rooms but I had wifi access in my 1st floor room. Pleasant family-town type facilities for an evening stroll adjacent to the hotel with a variety of shops and restaurants. A very easy 10 mins drive to Alicante Airport, brilliant for those early morning flights, or late night arrivals. Overall the impression was of Space, lots of it. Probably not because it was big, but because it was well designed.

“Great Hotel,prefect for Alicante Airport”

Very modern, well designed hotel. Prefectly located for Alicante airport. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The free internet and seating areas are very accomodating when waiting after checkout for transport to the airport. Breakfast was OK The only downsides were the hotel's restaurant and the surrounding area. Don't order the lamb chops as you will get a plate full of bones and remember chips means crisps not fries so beware of getting crisps with your steak!!!The restaurant was definitely not value for money. The surrounding area is pretty boring and sedate which is fine if you are just using the hotel for it's great airport location. I would recommend this hotel

Wonderful hotel. Very close to the airport. If you have a taxi that doesn't know where this hotel is have him drop you off at the airport the taxis there know this hotel well. The food is great. The spa is wonderful and relaxing and the service is out of this world. highly suggest this place!

We often stay at the Areca as it is convenient for the airport. Good value for money and secure parking. Best hotel in the area for an overnight stop.

Good location near airport. Staff friendly. Helpful when asked about getting a haircut/food locally. Internet connection good in lobby.
