TIRED AND IN NEED OF CLEAN MOTELPosted Oct 13, 2013
Pros: THE FANTASTIC STAFF. PROXIMITY TO STORES, AND THE NOT TOO DISTANT CENTRE OF TOWN. MIND YOU; NOBODY IS REALLY FAR FROM ANYTHING HERE.
Location: ANZAC HILL AT TOP OF TOWN. BOTANIC GARDENS, PIONEER WOMENS MUSEUM. CAFE STRIP IN MALL
STAYED A WEEK AS I HAD PAID UP FRONT---WITH NO REFUND. NEAR WOOLWORTHS AND COLES. BOUGHT FOOD TO COOK ON THE GUEST BBQ---YOU GUESSED IT, THE BBQ DIDN'T WORK HAD TO ASK STAFF IF I MIGHT USE A FRYPAN. STAFF MEMBERS ARE FANTASTIC, AND YOU CAN READILY APPROACH THEM. DINGY GREY LINEN AND TOWELS. BED LINEN NEVER REPLACED DURING STAY; AND IF THEY HAD DAILY OR TWO DAILY GUESTS THE LINEN WOULD NEED CHANGING. I EXPECTED A MIDWEEK REPLACEMENT.

Pros: Price and we could get two adjoining rooms to accmodate the kids.
Cons: Quality of the room, noise
Location: On the corner of two moderately busy roads and not particularly close to anything.
Hotel is in serious need of a subtantial renovation, fraying carpets, broken wardrobes, noisy aircon etc. Was probably a good hotel in its day but that was a while ago.

A bit disappointedPosted Jun 8, 2009 on Hotels.com
The rooms were quite basic. So it wasn't quite what I expected. The main problem otherwise was the noise level at the early hour of 6 am when certain families seemed to get up and shout at their childree.
