Good for travellersPosted Jul 13, 2014
Spacious rooms with verandah and small kitchen. Individual units are great. Need a car to stay here as is a bit out of town but that is good because it is quiet.

clean but very small roomsPosted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Bus stop very close by. Easy walking distance to town centre. Staff great!
Cons: space inside rooms. But as these are all separate villas of the same or similar size differing only in number of beds this can't be improved.
Location: olive pink gardens, short walk into town centre, desert park, reptile centre, camel rides, telegraph station, RFDS, school of the air, billy goat hill
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. However for four people, 2 adults and 2 children the room (quad villa) was very small and cramped. Limited space to put bags and nowhere other than beds to sit on inside. There were 2 stools at the kitchenette bench but acces was limited due to proximity of beds. Fantastic outdoor kitchen with BBQ, power, hotwater etc. We found it better and easier than cooking in the villa.

convenient, clean and reasonably pricedPosted Jun 2, 2014
Cons: provide shattle service into the city
Location: already mentioned above
we looked at several hotels in the area and finally decided for the desert palm and we are glad we did. We were picking up a camper the next day for our trip to uluru and found their bongalow style very convenient to drive the camper up and load our things. The room was large with a nice terrace and a pool ( that we did not get to use). we did walk downtown but is over a mile in the heat. walking back at night does not appear to be a good idea so we took a taxi ( around 10 $)- this is the only downside to this hotel. otherwise just fine.

Nice hotel with cabinsPosted May 3, 2014
Pros: Nice, cosy cabins, nice swimmingpool (with very cold water).
Cons: We had no internetaccess in the cabin and the access near the reception was slow.
Location: Close by Botanic Gardens.
Nice place to stay, quietcarea and close enough by town.

Hotel is a bit far off the town centre. Room was clean, but bathroom could have been in better shape. Price/quality ratio is not brilliant.

Pleasant location close to casino & not downtownPosted Dec 18, 2013
Pros: We felt the rate was pretty fair for the area for what we got. The room was pleasant although quite different from any other place we had stayed.
Cons: On site after-hours staff. We were on our own over night.
Location: Convenient to casino and on a nice side street away from downtown. We enjoyed shopping in the downtown mall area.
We had a 2-bed room fro one night. The unit was a standalone building with a vaulted ceiling and full-width covered front porch. The second bed was placed directly along the wall opposite the foot of the main bed which gave it more the appearance of a large cot but it was a good bed. We are not very familiar with hotel properties in Australia so not sure what we should have expected. The unit was not cooled down when we got there but that is understandable. Like other places we stayed in AUS, you have to put your room key into a controller to enable the A/C to run. It was a high wall unit that cooled very well. The room had a nice little kitchenette that was in good condition. The bathroom was a narrow room that ran across the back of the unit with a curtained shower area at the left end, a sink in the middle, and toilet at the right end. We prefer just a shower so this was good. It's in a fenced compound with a security gate. When we asked why, we were told that Alice Springs has a problem with intoxicated natives at night and this was their way of dealing with it. They recommended we stay away from downtown after dark. We never noticed any problems.

Could do with renovating but good valuePosted Dec 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Our room was a decent size but it would have been nicer if there had been an armchair or sofa instead of the third bed. Also in need of updating. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A bit of a walk t
