Immaculate hotel. We stayed in an executive room on the 9th floor which was very clean, light, spacious, and had magnificent views. The bed was very comfy.
For such a nice hotel the drinks were very reasonable. A 1/2 litre of beer only a little more than UK prices. The reception was staffed with very friendly knowledgeable staff. Before booking a trip to Northern Lights check with them. The lights are not seen every night and before you waste your money and time check with them. They will know whether you have a chance of seeing, or not in our case (wish we knew this before booking trip in UK). In fact you save nothing by pre booking trips before you go.
The hotel is 15/20 min walk from main street. Which for us was fine. It's nice to walk and explore. Iceland feels very safe, For veggies please try "Glo" which is only 5 mins from hotel near the Hilton. Lovely yummy healthy vegetarian concept.
The only downside was that the breakfast was very very busy on Sunday morning. Guess everyone at the hotel arrived at 9.30. Maybe have an earlier breakfast on Sunday. The food however was very tasty.
All in all everything about the hotel was excellent.

"Comfortable and friendly hotel centrally-placed."
Perfect location for a short break. Allowed quick access to centre so we could maximise our time enjoying the sites. We had wondered about hiring a car, but between the hotel's central location, Flybus and Reykjavik Excursions, it wasn't necessary! Very friendly and helpful staff. Fabulous, clean, spacious double-aspect Superior Room. Wonderful stay!

excellent location right in the heart of town but quiet enough for a restful sleep; the carpets on corridors and walls show lots of wear and tear so it does not look nice but the rooms are comfy and big enough for central location; rooms have refrigerator and coffee making pot
there is a supermarket next door where you can buy some food if you like and the tourist office is a few steps away on same street ; hotel is close to Harpa and the bay where you can do a nice stroll

Only a 2 minute walk from Laugarvegur and very centrally located. Rooms are small by North American standards but very efficiently laid out. Ours had a stunning view of the harbor and fjords beyond. Morning breakfast was great, plenty of variety and the restaurant had the same great view. Hotel also had a fine spa facility with a hot jacuzzi, steam bath and sauna. Service was excellent, we were treated very well by every one. Parking was limited though...street parking is also readily available but not free. Wifi signal was strong through entire building. Would definitely stay here again.

I'd stayed in this hotel during a business trip and didn't think twice about booking in for a holiday there. The room was clean and bright and comfortable. The decor was great and really in line with the marina feel. Only thing that could be improved was the TV. This is a small point but whilst the choice was as expected some channels worked and others didn't and then this changed so by the end of the trip only 7 out of 30 worked. Like I say a small point as you don't go on holiday to watch TV.

Having stayed at numerous hotels ( some much more expensive!) I have never experienced a hotel staff, without exception, who went out out their way to not only make me feel special but but also went out of their way to assist me in recovering my luggage temporarily lost by the airline, including making several phone calls and volunteering to go pick it up When the airline (IcelandAir) refused to deliver it the hotel as promised.
