The staff at the hostel really helped me out. My room was clean and comfortable. There is a childrens park right across the street. Other than the park, I didn't enjoy the location much. We didn't venture out far and when we did, it was sketchy. There is a bank and store nearby but I didn't feel good looking for restaraunts. Great for an overnight stay but i wouldn't stay longer

I stayed for one night mostly because it is a short and cheap trip to the airport but was very surprised by how much I liked this hotel. It was the cheapest of all of the hotels I have gone to in Costa Rica and also the nicest. The staff was very nice, even when I came down at 4 in the morning asking for help with a taxi. The hotel is owned by a couple and the bottom floor is a small Italian restaurant. The room was also the largest I had visited with an extremely comfortable bed. The city was very safe and nice. The park one block away is very pretty. My only complaint is that the bathroom was a little small. I honestly wish that I switched my last night hotel in San Jose with this one! It is closer to the airport and much safer.

I needed to find an airport minutes away from the airport and this hotel was exactly that. I stayed here last week with my mom and brother upon our arrival to Costa Rica in the evening. And, another night before our departure. The hotel has a very simple and quaint feel to it--no frills. That was all we needed. We were transported from and to the airport at no additional charge, promptly and safely. The staff were absolutely courteous and pleasant wanting only to make us as comfortable as possible. They were also very helpful in giving tips on how best to make our way to another town my family and I were visiting by way of taxis and buses. And I must mention that the morning we were leaving Costa Rica, our flight was very early and therefore we expected to miss breakfast because it begins at 7am and we'd be gone by before then. The young lady that prepares breakfast was also there early prepping for the day and saw that we were getting ready to check out. She so thoughtfully offered to prepare breakfast for us if we had a bit of spare time before leaving...which we did have. So we had another lovely and delicious breakfast for the trip ahead. It was the perfect hotel for a quick stop over in any direction. Our rooms were clean, bathrooms had hot water, good water pressure, pizza dinner inside the hotel was pretty good, breakfast options easy and delicious, and staff was lovely! I'd absolutely stay here again the next time I go and need to pop in to rest.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 1 night stay. Abraham at the front desk was the main reason. He was welcoming, attentive and courteous. Whenever I needed him, he was available and quick to respond. I liked the overall hotel as well nice theme and everything was clean and well maintained. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to San Jose
