“Too much money for a "Cheap Place"”
Since everything in Corning and Bath had been booked that weekend, we ended up in Hornell and booked the Econo-Lodge. We did not expect much but got disappointed. The place is extremely old and not too well maintained. The power outlet at the sink did not work. The bathroom was very small and a little dirty. The bed covers and blankets had holes inside and the room had been charged twice to my credit card. The free breakfast was not really great. The only thing good about it was that it is nicely situated on a hill near the forest and in a quiet area. I can recommend the "Little Italy" Pizza place down the street. If we will ever go back to Hornell, we will probably stay at the Comfort Inn which gave us a much better impression.

Although the hotel seems far away, it is in a very nice area. The owner was very helpful when I thought I had misscheduled my meetings. The hotel does not have glamour but is VERY clean, safe and the rooms are big. WE did not get to take advantage of the breakfast,but it looked like they had a nice variety. I was travelling with my daughter,looking at colleges, and we both felt safe. I would definitely book this hotel again.
