“Needs refurbishing, but staff are very nice”
This hotel is conveniently located across the street from St. Bonaventure College and very near where I was working. The staff were very nice, the room was clean, but it was 'tired'. It was so hot in my room that I slept with the window open every night. Couldn't be adjusted. It was February. The walls were so thin I could hear the guests in the room next door talking in a normal voice. Smoking was allowed in many rooms, causing smoke to leak out into the halls and thus into my room. The price was right for my company, but this hotel definitely needs upgrading to compete with other hotels.
“So-so... would go back with stipulations”
Microtel in Olean was incredibly clean and affordable; however, the walls and floors are paper thin. We could here absolutely every move. I have to recommend that you reserve on the second floor. We stayed on the main floor and every step could be heard above us. In addition, there is no movie capability on the tv. Come prepared to entertain yourself.
“Not quite satisfied”
Should have stayed at Red Roof. The rooms are double the size. This room the heat would not turn off. They fixed it the next night. The pillows are hard as rocks. One light blanket and not extra blankets. didn't need it because it was too hot in the room anyway. No coffee maker. The TV is so high, you have to lay in the bed to watch it comfortably. TV reception was snowy. Breakfast was CARB Heaven. Walls are thin. You can hear everyone and everything in next room or going by your door. Small parking lot near building, you have to park in another lot that is not near the building.
