What's not to like at the Hyatt Place Bethlehem

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: Complementary hot & fresh breakfast. Free shuttle service within a 5 mile radius of hotel, including pick-up and drop at Allentown Airport (ABE).
Cons: This 5-year old hotel is beginning to show a little bit of wear and tear to its rooms amenities. A update done in stages is probably in order.
Location: Proximity to beautiful, historic downtown Bethlehem. Great shops and even better selection of fine dining establishments. Highly recommend the Apollo.
As retired news and photo journalists, we are avid travelers. With a scant few exceptions we throughly enjoyed our stay in Bethlehem, PA at the Hyatt Place Bethlehem. We met up with family with 2 youngsters under the age of 2 1/2 yrs. One of the hotel's management team took our 2 1/2 yr. old grandchild to a "behind the scenes kids Treasure Box" in the hotel's office, where she was allowed to pick 3 age appropriate toys. Needless to say the little tyke was thrilled. We'll all be back in the future. Especially enjoyed an easy walk to all things downtown Bethlehem.

We had a great time! The room was lovely and we were close to our friends. Breakfast on both days was delicious although there was not enough seating for everyone. Some people had to wait. I would still highly recommend the hotel!

Nice hotel; short walk to Historic Bethlehem sites

Posted Dec 7, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, wonderful friendly and accommodating staff.
Cons: Bar/lounge. Rather bland and basic.
Location: Just a short walk away from Main Street which is great around Christmas time.
2nd stay here. Staff is great. Hotel is rather new and the amenities are among the better you will find in the area. Bar is functional and bland. And hotel is right across from one of the city's major bus stops and clientele there is a bit sketchy.

Wish the team members will tell you what's around

Posted Nov 16, 2014
We had to wait for the front desk lady to cook something for other guests before we could check in. They don't tell you what is around and how to get there.

Didn't want to leave

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: It was clean, comfortable, very nice staff. Free breakfast! Plenty of towels etc. provided. HUGE room.
Cons: nothing!
My boyfriend and I had a great experience from start to finish at the Hyatt. The front desk was very helpful and our room was AMAZING for such a reasonable price. We didn't want to leave!

Having the parking garage across the street, at a bus terminal, was not enjoyable. There were all kinds of people standing outside garage.

Great location, right near restaurants on Main St.

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: The room was good size, and had all of the amenities one might expect, as well as a great continental b'fast. The hotel staff was also very helpful.
Cons: The pool was okay for the kids, but it small.
Location: All of the restaurants we looked up on Yelp! were just a block or two away.
We were in town for the Half Marathon, and the location couldn't be better for walking around town the day before the race. And the parking is free across the street.

Fine quality hotel

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Nice size room, convenient to many nice restaurants.
Cons: Cleanliness of the bathroom. More channel selections on the TV.
Location: It's in historic downtown, nice restaurants within walking distance.
I've stayed at this hotel several times and always found it to be an excellent choice. One source of disappointment on my last trip was the lack of cleanliness in the shower. There was hair in a few corners of the stall and outside the stall and they were still there on my second day.

Stranded without a ride!

Posted Oct 6, 2014
My husband and I stayed for a function at Steelstacks. We utilized the shuttle for transportation. We were given a number to call for a ride back to the Hyatt. We waited 2 hrs!!!

Good bed -- small shower

Posted Sep 23, 2014
Nicely designed and furnished room, except for the shower, which was crowded for one. The staff was top notch, and kept up with a busy weekend without losing their good humor. The fitness center includes a small pool, and exercise room.
