Nice hotel, but some drawbacks.
Posted Jan 16, 2013
Cons: Cushions on sofa in room need to be refreshed.
Location: Location is off the turnpike and you must drive at least 10 miles to attractions. But they are convenient to get to.
We originally stayed at the Springhill Suites in Quakertown, PA in April of 2012. It was brand new at that point. It was gorgeous. We really enjoyed our stay. Since that time, the hotel is showing signs of wear and tear. It has become very popular. It is still beautiful, but there are problems creeping in which need to be addressed. One of the drawbacks is that the bathroom facilities are right "in" the room itself, not at the front of the room as you walk in, in a private area. The doors to the bathroom (toilet, sink, shower) are of opaque glass and if someone turns on the light, it shines right on the bed. I prefer a more private bathroom area with solid doors. There was something wrong with the temperature control of the shower and the water was scalding hot. The sofa cushions have been sat on one too many times and need refreshing. The work station is nice and the WiFi was adequate. The breakfast was wonderful - eggs, bagels, waffles, fruit, juice, oatmeal, etc. The staff were pretty much on the ball. The exercise room is nice and clean with good equipment. We did not use the pool. The lobby area is beautiful with sofas, chairs and a nice place to relax. Free coffee, tea and hot chocolate at all times of the day and night. Free USA Today. The hotel is very quiet for the most part. We didn't hear any noise in the hallways, even though there was a large wedding party staying there. It is located in a quiet area. Price is high.

Pros: Fitness center, quality breakfast
I love this brand. I like the decor, the amenities and the room layout. Many are very new, which is great.

e.g. "Great hotel for a family"

A very nice place. Located on the outskirts of Quakertown in Bucks County, this hotel and 4 others are located in a sort of just off the highway. It is very near retail and chain like restaurants. Clean, nice staff, typical breakfast included. The rooms are of an Asian appearance, sorta feng shui, sorta Japanese in the doors that look like Shogi screens. It has a separate commode space which is nice. Our room was quiet, clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was helpful. I would stay there again.

Never stayed in this hotel before. Very nice surprise. Great decor and friendly staff. Pull-out sleeper was small and they need to clean under it but was a great room and I will be looking for Springhill Suites when we travel.

I loved this hotel. It is new and spotlessly clean, with very sleek and modern decor. The layout of the room was wonderful, with separate and distinct work and sleep areas, making it a true suite. The gym and indoor pool were wonderful, and breakfast was top-notch (real egg and cheese omlettes). The staff were friendly and efficient, and the surrounding neighborhood added to the overall convenience rating (gas station next door). Highly recommended.
