Staff was friendly. The place was very clean. Breakfast was decent. Several small restaurants and a bakery are right out front. The basilica is quite amazing right next door. Great place. A gem off the beaten path.

Rooms are beautiful, clean and very comfortable. We will definitely stay longer on our next visit - this time we were just passing through. Our only inconvenience was there was some road construction on our way in, but that is by no means the fault or control of the Hotel. Loved it!!

A Very nice hotel. Large family room but no fridge or electric kettle. A bit lacking when traveling with children. Great location, in front of lots of restaurants

Excellent Air conditioning and restaurant
We headed to the hills to avoid the Stuttgart heat, so we were most concerned about the quality of the AC which was excellent. We booked a smaller room with a queen bed that was at the front of the building facing the sun, so we upgraded (20 euros) to a larger room with two connected twin beds facing the parking lot which was much cooler. It is very difficult to get good AC in Germany but this one was so great we could have turned it down. The beds were a little hard and it would have been great to have a more comfy mattress covering to bring both mattresses together. There was no refrigerator or kettle but they gave us a very small one when we requested it. I am not a big fan of German food but the food at the restaurant was excellent, especially the Hirsch salad--best I have ever had. The dunkle beer was also the best beer we have had in Germany and we bought a case.

Little town with great charm
Beautiful location near must-see gorgeous church. Well appointed rooms, with comfortable beds. A/C. Great breakfast and super friendly service. Brewery onsite!

Unexpected. We loved Ottobeuren and this hotel is right on the square and near the cathedral. The beer is really good too.

Hotel is in the center of the village bit is very accessible. Room are nice and beds are comfortable. Also it has air conditioner on every room which is not very common around..

No internet even after asking 3 times for assistance and even after given a LAN cord, no internet....however, the lady trying to help us with this issue made sincere attempts to help. We were denied access to the hot tub/sauna at 8:00pm by being told there are no such amenity's and was asked to pay extra local tax/fee though our prepaid arrangements clearly stated that all taxes and fees were included.

Thanks for your review. The problem of Lan's was unfortunately not on our network. Your devices had a special lock which unfortunately could not be removed. For the sauna is a fee of 5, - € uro per person calculated, these are unfortunately the laws in Germany for the hotels. The local tax must be paid extra in each place where this is incurred. Great nights stay while traveling southern Germany
Extremely friendly reception received by front desk staff. Helpful info provided for getting around and even provided umbrellas for us as it was raining when we arrived. Brewery restaurant in hotel had excellent food and beer as well as reasonably priced. Great stop over location for travelling from east or westhe through southern Germany.

Lovely hotel with great view and local beer
Very nice hotel in a small town near main road to Memmingen. We've been there already many times, personnel is always very friendly, English speaking. Surrounding is just beautiful, a large cathedral forms a dominant view. I especially appreciated local beer, which stands to German traditional beer quality.

Accommodating. On the square of cute town but the church bells ring all night! Restaurant good. Noticed a slight sewage smell in both rooms.

We enjoyed the hotel - the bed was comfortable enough, pillows were very nice, bathroom clean and big, good size room. And we were very pleasantly surprised by the food in their restaurant. It was very good. We arrived late and there was no hot food any longer, but they were kind enough to provide any of the cold plates. All 3 appetizers that we ordered were very good and seemed to be made with high-quality ingredients. And of course, we tried their own good beer. But best of all was the brown bread - this was seriously the best bread I have had in years. The only issues I can imagine people having would be the very nearby church bells in the morning and the distance from the highway. Not big issues for us really. Maybe you ask for a room not facing the church.

Quiet town, loud party, otherwise great hotel.
The room was large and comfortable. Very nice bathroom. Breakfast was of good quality and plentiful. The only negative was an extremely loud party in one of the hotel banquet rooms - the music could be heard throughout the hotel.

A fantastic hotel in Ottobeuren
This hotel was fantastic. It is situated right on the town square, surrounded by good restaurants and the church. The rooms are spacious and well appointed featuring flat screen TVs, a desk with wired internet, and air conditioning. The hotel restaurant had great food and the staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel for either business or pleasure.

What a lovely hotel in a lovely market town setting. Staff excellent and helpfull. Food and beer great. Room clean and spacious. Cost of airport transfer was 10 Euro for 4 of us plus baggage which I thought was excellent. Skittle alley in hotel basement great fun too. Breakfast was also a treat. All in I simply loved this hotel and would love to return sometime.

Perfect Location
Perfect location near cathedral. wonderful restaurant, great staff, very spacious room, bathroom looks like new and very large. Best hotel value I have found in Europe this trip of 22 days. ( or any previous trips) cannot beat the price. Drive out of your way to stay here.

Hotel Hirsch - right in the heart of it all
The hotel is located in a cobbled square where people meet to eat and drink. The square has got a wonderful atmosphere and it is very pretty. A narrow stream runs down to an unusual water feature where children watch and paddle. The hotel itself is quite modern and tastefully decorated. We had a quadruple room, overlooking the square, and it was huge! It ws very comfortable and included everything you needed. Our only regret is that we didn't get to stay for long. We chose this hotel because of the short distance to Memmingen airport. We had spent our holiday in Austria and because our flight was early morning, we decided to travel back the day before. Hotel Hirsch is just off the A7 at Ottobeuren, so it only meant a 11 km drive the next day. We were very well looked after by the staff. They even provided us with a 'breakfast in a bag' because we had to leave before breakfast was served in the restaurant. We were so impressed wih this hotel, that we have even considered going back to visit for a long weekend. Ottobeuren has got a lot to offer and it is conveniently located near to Memmingen airport.
