Thanks for your feedback. We dont have coffee at our rooms. We just serving coffee in our restaurant. As we already wrote by booking our restaurant is closed on monday and tuesday. You booked a quiet hotel a little bit outside of fuessen so it was to be expected that you have to walk into the town.Best regards

Aktiv Hotel Schweiger is located in a quiet area of Fussen. It's a 15-minute walk along the river to the old town with its many shops, historical landmarks, and restaurants. However, no need to go into town for each night as they serve a lovely dinner at the hotel. Their breakfast buffet offers a lot of selection, too. The hotel itself is well-maintained. My room was spacious, clean and bright. The staff are extremely helpful. Prior to my stay, they were prompt to answers questions about their spa services and helped me choose the best options for me. They even went out of their way (twice) to acknowledge my birthday which occurred during my stay, which I very much appreciated. The area around the hotel is safe. And if you have a car, there is both above and underground parking. I highly recommend this hotel.

Ok hotel, but didn't provide what I paid for
Located 10-15min walk from the train/bus station in a quiet area and less than 10min walk from the town centre. Room reasonably spacious and clean, overall decent standard. Major frustration that hotel is more than happy to take the money and not give you what you paid for. Trust receptionist at your own risk - or get everything on paper. And pay in advance only for what you're sure you'll use.. Note that breakfast only starts from 7:30 - if you haven't bought castle tickets for Hohenschwangau in advance but need to queue for them in the morning, you will be unlikely to get them if you wait for breakfast. I was told by a receptionist when checking in that I can't get an early or take-away breakfast - but she suggested I can cancel the breakfast and will get a refund - which I accepted. To my astonishment, the next day another receptionist said no refund. She, and another person she called in, accepted I had paid for the breakfast, didn't get it because I trusted what a receptionist had told me - and they thought this was perfectly ok and just shrugged their shoulders. They make mistake - and let you, the customer, pay for it.

In a good location. You could walk into the town. The hotel staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great. The only downside was that the shower in the bedroom was in great need of updating and the pillows could do with being renewed.

Aktiv was a really lovely spot, in a quiet corner of a beautiful town. It was a nice short walk to downtown, and we appreciated the use of their bikes to enjoy the countryside. The restaurant was also excellent.

Poor facilities in rooms
Very poor facilities in the rooms. No kettle or mini fridge etc and a tiny television (an old computer screen) you can barely see from the bed, with very limited channels. Old, mismatched furniture with no charm whatsoever! For the price you pay for this hotel, you get a very poor standard of room.

Great stay.
Fantastic atmosphere, great staff, genuine Old Style German setting with slightly modern twist. Rooms neat, clean, good parking. Excellent breakfast. We loved it!!!

Fab hotel.
Staff were very pleasant. Location is a few min walk from the centre. Room was clean. Complimentary bottle of water and fruit. Breakfast was great. Parking was secure underground. I'd stay again.

Like: Near to Fussen Old Castle. Beautiful hotel design and sufficient variety for breakfast buffet. Dislike: No kettle, slippers and hot water require additional cost.

Off the beaten path - 10 min walk from Altstadt
This spot was off the old town in Fussen - convenient location (including breakfast and parking) with nice clean space. Very touristy city, but having this site a 10 minute walk from the Aldstadt was just far enough to get some quiet, less crowded options. Breakfast had good choices, nice coffee and convenient hours. Room was clean and pleasant, although bathroom/shower was tiny even for European standards.

Modern country garden style backed up against a nice garden with big beautiful trees. Access to the river is only two blocks away on a trail that leads to center of the old town. Staff is friendly, room was cozy but hot (no ac and do not stock ventilators/fans). Bathrobes and patio looking over garden were nice touches. They offered spa activities which we didn’t have time to try. We highly recommend this hotel for its beautiful location and modern country style. The breakfast buffet offered more than other places we stayed with some healthier options in addition to standard fare. Easy access to castles only a few minutes drive. They had free parking to right of their building which was awesome!

Quaint hotel away from majority of tourists
Quaint hotel slightly outside of Fussen. Friendly staff with clean rooms, though they aren't the largest. Nice balcony overlooking the country side. Hotel is 10-15 walk from train station and where buses depart for the castle. Part of it is uphill and through cobble stone streets, so probably not for everyone, but that's why taxis exist. Grocery store within 5 minutes and restaurants also not much further away.

Our stay was very pleasant. It's a beautiful "spa" hotel. It's a little spendy, but seems like all the accommodations in the area are a step up in price.

Nice hotel in good location, but stingy and petty
First impression comfortable and clean. Nice to help bring first breakfast to room. Only one tiny hand soap given which was not replenished for second night, same for other toiletries like bath gel and shampoo. Paid two nights accommodation but received only one day toiletries. After second breakfast, hotel wanted to charge for 2 bananas and 2 eggs to be taken out. Shocked with such calculative act never encountered before in other hotels stay with breakfast included. Shower facilities have much to improve, shower curtain too small for bath tub and water pressure too low.

Clean, welcoming, excellent breakfast. Hot tub and sauna, small gym. Lovely spacious room with lots of windows and quality furnishings. Within walking distance of Fuessen with restaurants, shops and sight-seeing. We really liked this hotel and would happily return. Neuschwanstein less than 20 minutes away.

It was kind of off season and we were allowed to check in early which allowed us to stay out later and let ourselves in after there was not service representative at the desk. That was excellent
