Awesome!Posted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Great all around.
We stayed in Venice, Rome, Florence (Italy), Heidelberg, Rothenburg, Augsburg (Germany), and Paris. This was the best hotel of the bunch. Great location, food, staff, amenities, and the beds are comfortable. The rooms are affordable and clean.

Very nice hotel close to destination sightsPosted Sep 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sonne, especially the excellent breakfasts included in the stay and the close proximity to shopping, restaurants, and tourist sights (castles and hiking). The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The only improvement opportunity would be the temperature control for the room. We were always very hot in the room even at night, which kept us from sleeping well. The thermostat is limited by computer control and room would not cool down sufficiently. We opened windows which helped but bar below room had noisy patrons until 3:00 a.m.

The staff were exceptionally helpful when we arrived prior to our room being ready, and in helping us book tickets to avoid queues at Neuschwanstein. Great buffet breakfast and free internet. The hotel itself has character :-)

DelightedPosted Jul 13, 2013
Pros: Stylish and very friendly
Can't fault anything about Hotel Sonne - it exceeded expectations of a town centre hotel, being really stylish and beautifully laid out. The colours and Artwork are gorgeous. Staff lovely. Breakfast fantastic and we wish we'd tried the restaurant the night before as found town food disappointing. One night only and we will come back if we can. Oh yes and underground parking really good facility - overseen by mad King Ludwig!

A Princely StayPosted May 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
All I can say is WOW. The service, food, and room appointment were exactly what was online and then some. The hotel is very tastefully decorated in an upscale modern manner with a twist which perfectly incorporates the proximity to Neuschwanstein castle et al. The surrounding shopping district is delightful and boasts items not easily found even in Berlin, and the parking garage is absolutely the nicest, coolest garage I've ever seen, let alone had the opportunity to park in. 5 stars all around!

Great place to stay! Plenty of parking if driving, very friendly staff that speak english well. The rooms were clean and the views of town were perfect. We can't wait to come back.

Nice Hotel, Location. Amazing Breakfast.Posted Apr 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
From the outside, it is a traditional hotel located on the North end of an outdoor shopping plaza (walkplatz). On the inside, we had a great room on the top floor with a very modern aesthetic - even the underground parking garage (only €8,00 per night) had an Andy Warhol theme. It was a short drive to the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles, but there were many public transportation options for those without private autos. The highlight was the breakfast, though. From scrambled eggs, hot sausages, fish, jellies, fresh fruits, breads, cereals, and juices, there was too much to sample. I was amazed to find out that the breakfast was included, rough even our cappuccinos and Mimosas on-the-house. If you find yourself overnighting in Füssen, I'd recommend Hotel Sonne. Just be sure to leave time for breakfast!
