Cheap hotel, nice rooms

The outside of the hotel looks pretty bad, but the room was really okay. It was clean and quiet.

This building needs to be demolished.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Demolish the building and start over.
Location: Location was OK.
We ended up changing 3 different rooms because of the mold and holes in the walls. One room had the fire alarm beeping. Got charged and extra $16 because they said epedia didn't eplain to us the extra charges??? No continental breakfast, they said it didn't show-up that morning and we show eat breakfast at the motel across the street.

Wouldn't stay here

Posted Oct 4, 2013
Pros: Not a single thing!
Cons: Everything! Need cleaner room, purchase more proper linens.
This place is disgusting, hallway floors were not vacuumed. My bed was made with 2 flat sheets because they were out of fitted sheets. There was either a grub or maggot in my bed and a dead black bug on the floor of the bathroom. I would advise all travelers not to stay here. In less than a block away is Alliance Hotel & Suites (which just bought out Days Inn) This hotel was much cleaner and comfortable.

Don't bother.

Stayed in four hotels over extended labor day weekend. Easily the poorest of all. Condition, cleanliness & staff all sub par.

Alliance, NE American Inn

It was a clean hotel. Everything worked as it should. I needed to turn on the heater at night and the directions to do so were very clear. The free breakfast is just cereal and other pastries, but that is to be expected. The bed was comfortable.

Great place to rest on a long trip.

Posted Aug 20, 2012
Pros: Just off the main Highway and easy to find. It was quiet and comfortable and had a great breaskfast!
Cons: the paint smell; but that shouldn't be a permanant problem.
Location: Just off the highway.
This Hotel was perfect for my needs on the trip I recently took. It appeared to be under some remodeling though so it wasn't as nice as I expected. My first night, I was put in a nice large room but it was obviously in the process of being painted and smelled strongly of what looked to be primer on the walls. It was a very plain room with only A/C, TV, night stand and a chair that could use re-covering but it was more than suffiicient for me as I was only looking for a place to relax, shower and get some sleep for the long drive I had ahead of me. The shower head did come apart while I was showering but it wasn't a big problem. The free breakfast available for guests was GREAT! There was, of course, coffee and other beverages, rolls, bagels, a variety of cereals, a waffle iron with fresh batter divided into cups so there was a perfect amount of batter every time and some of the best biscuts and gravy I think I have ever had!

Avoid at all cost.

First room I was given had did not have 2 beds reserved, TV did not work and no controls for it. Picked up phone to call front desk to complain and the phone had no phone line to it, didn't work. Next room had tv that worked, controls had battery taped into back. Had to be caerful using it or battery would fall out. Rug looked like it had not been cleaned in forever. NO coffee pot on room!! Sheets on both beds looked like they had been cleaned. Don't stay here,

Get what you pay for.

Pros: ok for single male
Location: good location, close to the kmart and some local eateries.
If just needing a place to sleep for a night or two this place will work especially if your watching your budget. Not a lot of extras. Beds were made every day but were short on towels and the ones they had appeared to be about 15 years old....very thin. Continental breakfast was ok. Waffle batter appeared to be watered down along with the orange and apple juice. I was lucky the weather was good for December 29/30 as there was a huge crack in the window and had a nice draft. Again, the price was cheap and I was only in the room to sleep. Family came on the 31st and we switched hotels.

Not Impressed

Better building maintenance is needed. Cleanliness was OK. Building is generally outdated inside and out. Soda/snack machines were conveniently located.

Better to sleep in your car. (seriously)

Alliance Nebraska is a beautiful little town with one exception. The American Inn was by far the worst hotel I ever stayed at. I have stayed in 2 dollar a night hotels in bangkok that were better. There was NO TOILET PAPER!!! really. I went to the front desk and the receptionist told me there was none left. She said the maids steal it. LMAO! she found some napkins in the back!! Keep in mind this was not at 2 am or something! This was at 11 am after the maids cleaned the room! The room was dirty and in dis-repair. The hotel overall was dirty and falling apart. I would have slept in my car but I needed the shower.
