Great location - some changes neededPosted May 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
We are from Canada so had no familiarity with Bornholm but greatly desired to see this lovely place. The setting was excellent - gorgeous view, very quiet (generally), and the room had everything for an apartment style stay. Manager's customer service lacking - always brusque and somewhat rude. Also - we brought our own sheets (to avoid the $150 fee) but it was not explained that we also needed to bring our own towels, so got socked with the BIG fee anyway ! This is not normal in North America travelling and should be clearly explained. Also - once we arrived, we were told there would be 'some work' outside our room. Turned out to be a huge and loud crane rambling around (spoiling our quiet and view for 2 days). Should have been a discount for that - or some kind of customer service response..but again, customer service is not their strong point.

Great views and value, would stay there again!Posted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: Views, room, free fast Internet, breakfast
Cons: Bathroom is small and a bit odd.
Stayed at Romantik for 3 nights in their least expensive rooms. Expected them to be modest, but our felt like a nice little cottage with its own porch, it was well designed and comfortable. The rest of the rooms (more luxurious) seem awesome with great views. Breakfast was awesome in the beautiful restaurant! Hammershus was worth seeing. Also the beach in Sandvig is small but great on a nice day. Insider tip, if you need any grocery items and the store in Sandvig is closed, the camp ground has a small shop with very reasonable prices. Beware that if you are taking a bus from the ferry to Romantik it takes an hour. Bornholm in general is beautiful and really worth a visit and is perfect for a few days of quiet relaxation. If you are looking for a unique, music experience go when Wonderfestiwall is happening.

Nice Hotel in a wonderful location, food good, beds a little creaky but otherwise comfy, staff friendly and helpful.
