Centrally located B&BPosted Nov 12, 2013
Pros: The cleanliness and attention to small details.
Cons: It did not feel "homely" - rather regimented.
Location: Centre of Alnwick. Close to Barter Bookshop. Within easy walking distance to Alnwick Castle and Castle Gardens.
Spotless accommodation. Central position. Well appointed large bedroom. Delicious well cooked breakfast with lots of choice.

Near to town centrePosted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: Great location
Location: Alnwick Castle and gardens
Had a very enjoyable stay and Leo the host is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately our room was not cleaned overnight as he did not have a spare key to get into our room as the previouse occupant had taken the key. Hence the lower mark

Comfortable weekend breakPosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Good size of room, well equipped with tea/coffee, toiletries, hair dryer etc Excellent breakfast
My husband and I booked two nights at Tate House as our friends were getting married in Alnwick. We arrived late on Friday night and parked at The Plough, and were shown to our room by the owner. We were very pleasantly surprised by the high standard of our room, with a good selection of tea, coffee and toiletries. Despite being on a fairly busy road, our room was very quiet, and we had a very comfortable stay. There was also a good selection of cereals, yogurts and fruit for breakfast, and a choice of cooked breakfast, all served in the dining room. The cooked breakfast was again of a high standard, freshly cooked by the owner. Would recommend Tate House to friends - there was also a small porch area at the back of the B&B which we didn't have the chance to use, but looked like a perfect spot in the sun.

Comfortable and big roomPosted Aug 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Exceptional quality bedroom and shower facilities.Parking is across the road at "the Plough" hotel. Would be good to know with booking info. Some concern about stairs leading to separate shower room, perhaps a night light at floor level to illuminate the sloping steps between these rooms may help.

First class B and BPosted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: Good location, parking facility, excellent B & B which is very well looked after by owner
Location: Good location, just a short walk to restaurants, bars and Alnwick castle
Leo made us feel very welcome at Tate House. Could not have wished for a more comfortable stay over three nights. Breakfast was excellent. Our room was lovely but quite warm during the night (although we were in the middle of a heat wave). Would not hesitate to stay again.

Great place to stay in AlnwickPosted Jul 2, 2013
Pros: Great WiFi and Breakfast
Cons: Parking in hotel car park on opposite side of the road - narrow access.
Location: Perfect for walking into Alnwick or the Gardens
Excellent B&B -warm welcome on arrival, spacious well furnished rooms that are very well presented and extremely clean. Leo provides a first class service with the best of everything at hand (including the quickest wifi) at no extra charge. We have no hesitation recommending or returning to this lovely, venue. PS the full english breakfast is marvellous.
