The accommodation was a separate cabin bed studio.Posted Jan 22, 2014
Cons: The road the stairs
Location: Cruise to south to see seals
Not a good approach for the car . Carry luggage up 2 rough stairs

Although the cottage was a little bit dated, the service was fantastic. The only issue was the mozzies in the rooms otherwise the accommodation was comfortable.

Bruny Island hidden treasure!Posted Oct 22, 2011
Location: Sandy Bay, Cradle Mountain, Wineglass Bay in Freycinet National park. The whole of Tasmania is worthwhile visiting as it is such a beautiful place.
We stayed at Sandpiper Studio in Alonnah for 1 night only and that was the only disappointing part to the trip as we would have loved to stay longer. The peaceful tranquility of this place was awesome. This studio was clean, well-eqipped with microwave, grill, hot plate, toaster, tea and coffee making facilities, bar fridge, basic crockery and linen, towels etc. The bed was so comfy and it also had tv and dvd facilities, heating and cooling. The view from the verandah was breathtaking overlooking one of the many bays on Bruny. The road up to the property is unsealed so was a bumpy trip but was so worthwhile. We spent the evening at the penguin rookery waiting for the little guys to return from their days outing at sea which was only a 10min drive away. The place was suitable for couples only but next door there was another cabin which had 2 rooms so if you were either travelling alone or with family there would be options to choose from. We would definately return and would stay again at Sandpiper!
