This was one of the best ski in / out hotels I’ve ever stayed. The staff were most helpful and friendly. The hotel restaurants were great to eat. The wine and cocktails were on the high price but very much worth it.

Lovely hotel with an incredibly relaxing atmosphere. The staff were extremely helpful, the front desk, the concierge and the hotel shuttle in and out of town were exceptional. Breakfast was excellent, better than any other ski hotel I have used previously. The spa and gym facilities were also significantly better than any other I have used. The bedroom was quiet, comfortable and the little touches such as a wide range of movies on the telly made the holiday so much more relaxing and enjoyable. Would definitely use this hotel again

A couple of notches above the average.
Exceptional staff and service levels. Very useful on-call shuttle around the town. Well located at the bottom of the piste with convenient ski locker room. Well run spa and outdoor heated pool.

Excellent hotel. The rooms are amazing and the location is perfect (bottom on the village, so easy to access by car and not far to walk to the main restaurants/shops). The staff is extremely helpful and responsive, and the breakfasts are to die for! Would definitely stay here again. Only small negative is that the pool and hot tub are not hot enough. The pool goes outside and is a beautiful setting, but the water is luke warm at best.

This is a perfect property for skiers, it really is ski in, ski out. The hotel does everything for you. Ski passes, ski hire, ski lessons. The food is amazing. And it's the best massage I've ever had.

Excellent hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Ski rental & shop is top quality. Ski-in / out is a bit congested at times but even a beginner could manage it. Breakfast was really good. Very reasonable price lunch options. We didn's have an evening meal in the restaurant but the buffet looked good. Free shuttle minibus around the resport in the evening. I highly recommend this hotel.

A perfect ski in and out hotel. Staff were extremely helpful and they did everything to make our stay enjoyable. The room was a good size and had everything you’d expect of a 5 star hotel.

Best ski hotel I have stayed at. Staff always helpful and polite. Stayed half board, breakfast wonderful and amazing selection. Good choice of evening meal at buffet style main restaurant with generous allowance to al a carte fine dining restaurant, or speciality cheese fondu restaurant included. Ski shop deserves a special mention very helpful and very professional staff. Not cheap but exceptional equipment. Perfect ski in ski out location. Rooms very smart and clean.

We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be looking to return next year. The service was outstanding. Especially the restaurant staff who were very accommodating. We had a basic room which was small but nicely appointed.

Great Location, friendly and luxurious hotel.
Excellent ski in and ski out hotel, bottom of the slopes with easy access from the Plein Sud Blue run toward town centre. Lovely spa area to use after a hard day of skiing. Relaxing, cosy and atmospheric bar area with live music on certain nights. Loved the breakfast, especially the French Toast!

Amazing Hotel
Had a weeks stay with my Husband and 2 children (7&10)at this hotel over Easter half term and couldn't find one fault. The staff, food and deco were amazing. The location for the lifts is great and the ski shop in the hotel couldn't help enough, we hired all our equipment from them. The Concierge organised our ski lifts so we were all ready to ski straight after breakfast. We had a truely amazing holiday and would definitely return.

Amazing hotel, brilliant location, fantastic staff
We had an amazing family break made special by staying in this amazing hotel which is in a wonderful location with ski in and out. Great locker room for ski kit. All of the staff were amazing and attentive from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. So friendly and helpful, great team effort. Couldn't fault the food. Would love to stay at the hotel again and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Top hotel, excellent service and great location
Lovely hotel, with exceptional service and ski in and ski out location. Service in ski hire shop was top notch and the equipment of an excellent standard. We ate at the buffet restaurant which seemed expensive for what it was (especially for kids that are fussy) and the fondue restaurant which was a nice experience particularly as our waitress was fantastic. Complimentary shuttle to and from the resort was a bonus. The only downsides, room was way too hot and no obvious means to turn down the heat and our room wasn't cleaned one day despite the room being empty between 9.30 and 3.30. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

perfect for ski weekend
Lovely hotel, lounge/spa/service top end. Good ski in/out facility (beginner may find the slope to the entrance bit steep) and easy walk to town. Great weekend.

Fabulous hotel. When I arrived went to room I thought definitely coming again, by the last day I knew I would not. That 5th star is debatable . Whilst the hotel itself may warrant it, the housekeeping forgot to leave complimentary water, coffee, forgot to top up water in coffee machine. Spa had no cotton wool or tissues you had to use toilet roll to wipe make up off which they defended people steak things, hello that's why you charge so much to cover that cost! Restaurant the chef can't cook, he either gave steak raw or well done could not do medium-rare. Could not cook poached eggs. Their scrambled egg was runny inside, quite revolting. The spaghetti was tossed into litres of tomato sauce that would make any Italian cringe! The waffles were kept on hot plate and were dried out as a result. The bacon was swimming in a container of oil. They sometimes forgot to offer us coffee when we sat down. At 10am the buffet stops. So if you come down at 9.45am your too late because they don't just stop they remove everything so if you run out of juice or coffee it's gone that is not a 5star service! Finally they booked us a return taxi and charged us €92 on top of the €788 actual cost! They ended up removing €80 when I complained. What was great:- the position, the pool and the jacuzzi What was bad:- the hidden hotel costs on lift passes, skis taxis (spent for 1 week skiing €2,000 on lifts and ski and taxi..), housekeeping and restaurant

This resort has everything.
Altapura richly deserves its 5-star rating. The resort is spectacular, and all the amenities are at one's fingertips. The ski school or instructors meet you there, the rentals and ski departures are just at the door, the food, wines, and all amenities are first rate. We took our 9-year old granddaughter and by the end of the week she had made fast friends with 6 other children. They skied, swam, played computer games, took photos in a booth, and fell asleep happy and exhausted. The village is unique in that it is ABOVE the lifts; and the slopes are completely free of vegetation, so you ski above the tree line on a magical lunar-looking landscape, where the mountains fade into the sky. It is expensive! But worth it.
