Great hotel at a good price. Good location walking distance to city center and all the action. Easy friendly check in. Room was nice with balcony overlooking mountain and pool. Ski shop in hotel was a nice feature. So easy to rent equipment. Bus picks up right outside on corner. Loved the pool. Heated perfect for swimming even in winter. Hot tub could be slightly warmer but still ok. I would recommend they add another hot tub. Bar was nice with pool table etc. Would definitely recommend and I will stay again when in Chamonix.

Beautiful setting. Rooms quite small, balcony for one! Lobby etc very nice. Pool area very good. Hot tub big enough to hold 4 adults if you are chummy together! Suggest some chairs around pool. Unfortunately our room faced pool area so quite noisy at times. Room was hot in February so needed balcony door open.

Really lovely hotel , nice cosy rooms. Bar area lovely and spa and pool lovely too. Nice to walk into Chamonix and explore , only 10 minutes by foot . Thoroughly enjoyed the stay Breakfast was lovely the only complaint is they didn’t clear the tables so had to sit on a dirty table with the last persons food and drink on every day for 3 days .

Hotel is modern, clean and nice. Rooms are small but okay for a place to lay your head down after skiing. Rooms are way too dark though, especially if getting up early to ski. Food was nice. Staff are nice. Spa is nice

Great hotel!
Amazing stay for one quick night! We missed our bus back to Geneva and had to book a last minute stay. This hotel is right by the bus station, and the front desk agent helped us get a room last minute. We had an amazing view and a balcony. The room was also very clean. Although we couldn’t enjoy it for a long time as we had to head back early the next morning, we will definitely stay here on our next trip to Chamonix. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the main attractions but 10 minutes feels like 3 minutes when you’re in a place like this! It’s fun to wander around anyways. Would highly recommend this hotel for pleasure! It does have a spa, restaurant and bar that seem great. The staff was very kind to us from beginning to end.

What an amazing hotel. The location is outstanding, the staff are incredible welcoming and helpful, the food is delicious, and the decor and outdoor areas are just wonderful. I came on a solo motorbike tour of Europe, but I'm already making plans to return with my other half for a few days. The only small opportunity for improvement is lighting in the rooms. There's no main light, it's just small lamps in the corners which means you can't actually see anything when packing/unpacking bags without the flashlight on your phone. I lost my motorbike key on the shag carpet and it took me 30 minutes to find it. A small small point, overshadowed by what a great hotel this is. You won't regret staying here.

LOVED this hotel! Right across the street from where our bus from Geneva dropped us. It was so very hip and happening, with pool table, ping pong table, bar, music, sauna, steamroom, bocci, jacuzzi, etc. Close to Aguille de Midi and lots of restaurants, central town, as well as hikes. The only thing is no AC - temperate when we were there, so not a problem, but a consideration if it's warm. Great staff, too - very helpful.

The room was a dark hot cave with brown shag carpet spattered with weird stains… loud music until late from the lobby bar… chain smokers outside the lobby bar immediately below the room balconies… couldn’t open the window for fresh mountain air because of the smokers… would NEVER recommend this place. This experience was like a torturous bad dream…

We loved our stay here, the hotel is the perfect location if you're getting the coach from Geneva airport, it's just across the road. The main town centre, the train station, the Aguile du Midi are all a short walk away. We had a room over looking Mont Blanc and the pool area with a small balcony. The room was clean and ideal for us although we were staying here in September during a heatwave, so sleeping at night with no aircon was difficult, but we could open the balcony door and let some air in. There was not too much noise and was better than the heat. Breakfast also very good, loads of options, fruit, pastries, cereals and cooked options. We didn't have dinner in the hotel as we didn't realise we had to book and although there was room the staff advised it could be a long wait for food as there were several groups staying, so not a problem as the town is only a short walk away and there are hundreds of great places to eat. The staff in the hotel are super friendly, particularly the reception staff and the team at breakfast. They all worked very hard looking after the guests.

The hotel staff was great. The hotel looked nice and my husband and son enjoyed the pool. You could tell the hotel was updated but the room, specifically the bathroom needed cleaned better. Bathroom smelled of pee, you could see it dirty down the toilet sides. The shower had mold and build up that could have easily been wiped clean…which leads me to believe the shower wasn’t cleaned. The most alarming thing was the hair dryer that was VERY dirty and has mold from the moisture in the bathroom. The rooms had shag style carpet which looks old and dirty and smelled like it had been wet many times. We kept the door open to avoid the sour smell.

Wonderful Stay With Clean Rooms & Friendly Staff
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Hôtel Le Refuge des Aiglons Chamonix. The staff's warmth and assistance truly stood out, enhancing our stay. Our room was clean and inviting. We were impressed by the dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was very good. The spa pool and steam room provided much needed relaxation, and the massages we indulged in were skillfully administered by professional therapists who ensured our utmost comfort. Notably, the complimentary escape room activity added an element of fun and excitement to our stay. Without a doubt, we would stay here again.

IMO this is the best place to stay. They have plenty of onsite activities (we went to the on-site BBQ) and have a spa and pool. It was so nice to adventure in the day, refresh at the pool and then go out to dinner. Everything was very walkable and the room was nice and roomy. Loved everything about this place and highly recommend and would return on future stays in a Chamonix! Also it was right by the bus station, so super easy to transport our gear/baggage.

Great Hotel/No AC
It was an excellent location if choosing to take the cable car up into the mountains. Multiple stores and restaurants are nearby and about a 10-minute walk into center-city. Sadly, the room was uncomfortable due to the outdoor temperatures and the room does not come with AC or a fan, (common for hotels in France).

Directly opposite buses for both the local Chamonix free buses and those going to Geneva etc. A large hotel with good facilities- pool, deck area, lounge areas. A comfortable clean room.

Our stay here was wonderful. The hotel staff is superb. We had breakfast and dinner. The food was very good. It has a pool, hot tub, bicycles to ride along with a spa and other amenities. The room got warm because of no air conditioning, but it cooled down nicely with the window open. And did I mention the staff? - Wonderful - thanks Jamie.

Hotel was really nice, breakfast was good but the room was so hot! There is no air con and no fan. Design of hotel is nice, nice vibe and friendly staff. The shower was also not great for a 4 star - the drains seem quite blocked. We had a fabulous time but value for money could definitely be better. Fabulous views, second to none!
